Can anyone help me, i feel like I'm having insomnia. I just can't sleep early. I always sleep at 2 AM. Do you have any suggestions about this matter? I read an article which says that eating foods rich in carbohydrates stimulates sleep but it doesn't work with me I guess. I tried it.Any idea?

One of the first things you must do when trying to prevent insomnia is to work aggressively to improve your sleep habits. For example, self hypnosis, relaxation breathing, and biofeedback are often helpful options that can lead you to relaxation and a more restful sleep. Insomnia can be caused by many things, however after a while it really just becomes a bit of a habit that takes you out of a natural routine of sleep and makes it hard for you to get back into that old routine. While you are experiencing insomnia you may feel that your mind and imagination may be more active than usual – thus giving your loads to think about just as your head hits the pillow.

I have on again and off again insomnia. I was taking prescription meds for it before I had my son, but have since stopped taking them. I probably need them again, but I dont want to take them in case for some reason I need to wake up for my son. I've been staying up late at night for the last few months, and sleeping only a little bit here and there. I don't know what to do to get tired. I'm always run down during the day, but so full of energy at night. I hate it when I can't fall asleep. It's nearly 4 am where I am right now, and here I am still on mylot typing away because I'm not tired yet....

Sounds to me like all you need is to stay up a couple of nights at 2am and don't sleep until the next night at a normal time. Really it sounds like you just have to adjust to a normal sleeping habit and get yourself out of the 2am routine.

If you are hungry, drinking warm milk can help. Notice any kind of annoyance around you. Color, smell, periodic rythm, or even unseen energy that you only felt it. Try reading Karl Reichenbach Somanbulism book too.
