Do you every have a day, moment or anything where you can't think of anything to post on mylot?
I seem to be stuck lately,I get an idea but can't get the words to flow or I can't think of anything at all.
If these has happened to you what do you do? Do your force something or just wait until another time you can think of something?
Help me out here,lol.

I have been with myLot for I think 15 days already and I had already posted several topics. And I think I run out of topic also to post. It also happens to me now. But what I do now is try to respond to other topics that i think is very interesting, giving advise to people needing it. i also tried to post current events. You can actually post here anything you want to be discussed by the members.

I guess that is why I don't start too many discussions. So far, I think I probably average four new discussions a week. Though there has been many times I have thought of a discussion, and it has already been posted. I usually just wait until something comes to me, I don't rack my brain thinking of anything, I just wait until something comes to mind. Other than that, I just respond to others discussions.

Hello terri how was your trip? I sent you a pm did you get it?
I just wanted to say thanks for all your prayers and support. I try not to rack my brain but I feel lazy with not posting anything lately. Thanks

I had a wonderful vacation. Thanks for asking. Yes, I got your pm, but I think I was still on vacation when I got it, I did pray at that time, but didn't have time to do anything else, and then have overlooked it since I've been back. Sorry!

Hey babyangie27. Apparently we both have the same problem. It's because we actually don't wanna post anything that doesn't have some quality to it. Guess we could start being like some of the people that post one line discussions on every random thought that passes through their brain...lol. My problem is stress...I have so much on my mind right now I can't seem to have a clear thought. I'm sure yours is exactly the same. don't worry something will come to ya. How is your daughter doing? Hope all is well...take care^.^

Hi dedicated where have you been, lol. I know how busy life is for you and me. I hate those one lined posts! I mean sure there are tons of junk I could post but I just don't see that as being something I could be happy with doing,ya know? My daughter is doing well,no seizures since April 4th,thank GOD. And we finally got a hearing on August 9th for her SSI,bout time. How have you and your little one been? And how is your brother? Hope you are doing well.

I ran out of topics about two weeks ago. I haven't posted anything. I find it easier to respond to others discussions, mainly there are alot of duplicate discussions and if I answer all the duplicates I can really add up the points. I actually found and answered to seven "What kind of ice cream do you like" discussions. Isn't myLot wonderful!
Peace, Totty

Thank you totty but I really don't feel the need to reply to useless posts and I don't believe in coping and pasting my responses, but thanks for the info.

That's the wonderful thing about copy and paste. One phrase can be copied to make lots of responses. Of course by answering the same type of question like that, you don't really recieve points. But it did help me get to 500.

Yes there are days like that here on mylot when I just run out of discussions to respond to. I have decided that I would make all my responses at least 4 lines long and of good quality. I also decided that I will only respond to discussions that I know I can make real inputs to. These kind of discussions are sometimes harder to come by. Sometimes when I get this stuck, I would search a topic I think I can answer to. If I don't find the discussions I can respond to, I just leave mylot and do something else on the Internet. I may return later on that day or return the following day.

I get that all the time! I usually just relax and browse around other discussions, posting topics of my own aren't all that important for me.

Yes there are days that I can't think of things to say but than again there are days I have things to say. I sometimes would rather just sit and read and reply to posts. Than to make Posts, So many people I see post and post and some don't know when to stop. It gets kinda annoying when you have your mail box full and full of posts from the same person you almost don't want to even open your box. But than again you don't want it over flowing either. But Normally I just wait until i have something good to ask than I will ask it I don't just post to post.

Well i only create a discussion about something that i need a response to or an opinion on. During my time here i have seen some rubbish discussions created to put it frankly, things like:
Whats your favourite colour?
and
When is your birthday?
These sort of discussions have a very limited appeal to me because they dont require us to give a personal comment that draws on our unique thoughts and so on. Also, when responding to a discussion i always always always make sure i give a detailed response to make sure my thoughts on the subject are fully explained.

Thank you darkness01! You are so right and your response is very detailed and good. I agree those kind of discussions don't have much merit to them.

Honestly, I am more worried about not having things to say in my regular writing. This is just me goofing off. If I have nothing to start a discussion with, I just reply to other people's discussions. Mylot is a symptom of my writer's block; it doesn't cause it.

I have to say that has happened to me all too many times. To avoid that problem, I try to answer discussions and sometimes I get ideas from other discussions about topics not already discussed. It is a good tip and I suggest it to anyone who can't think of new discussions to write.

You know what I too have found inspiration in other discussions, maybe something they didn't think to post that was relavent to something else. Hope that makes sense. Thanks I might try that again.

do you mean mind blocks? writer's cramps? yes all the time. when that happens i just take a break from my computer altogether and go do something else. I really don't understand how those that are here just for the money do it. I can't get into just posting and posting just to earn a buck. I have to find some enjoyment in it. so just take a break and go do something else and you'll come back here all energized.

Yes and Yes. I agree I don't post here just to make a buck I find other people's opinion to be interesting and I also like to put my input into certain posts. I also have to find some kind of enjoyment or the money wouldn't matter to me at all. Thanks

I have this problem too and tend to only respond to discussions that gain my interest. have got to say though, that I am fed up of seeing pointless discussions, like the one I've just seen asking which is yout favourite finger to use when texting? I mean, what is that about...who cares? Sorry, guesss you just asked your Q at the wrong time and had to get that off my chest!!

Quite alright lulabula6. I too sometimes feel the need to vent. I am happy to help you release some of the weight, lol.
I agree that post was pretty pointless, parden the pun. Thanks for your input.
