Almost killed their own children

How horrible for those poor kids. Hopefully, they will have a better life without their parents around. I'm just surprised that the parents might only get a 12-year sentence. They should be put away for life. This is just so sad. I can't imagine parents treating their children like this. Why did they even bother to have kids if they weren't going to care for them???

I’ll share with you another story under the same topic “How cruel can parents be to their children”. A few weeks back, I read a story in the newspaper about an aged couple fighting their son and daughter-in-law for possession of their only granddaughter. The aged couple alleged that right after birth, the baby girl was dumped with them by her parents, as they wanted a son. The grandparents cared for the child and nurtured her to the age of 5, when the child’s mother gave birth to a boy. It was only then that her parents wanted to take her back so that (the grandparents alleged) they would have a helping hand at home for the small baby. Just imagine! And I am sure that the grandparents are right as they declared in a packed courthouse that they knew how mean and selfish their son could be and how, in the past 5 years, neither parent came to enquire about their daughter or contribute to her expenses!

OMG... this story really make me feel very mad and upset at the same time... i am mad at the parents... if they are still so childish, why want to have children??? they already have 2 children, yet they are behaving so irresponsibly... children are the blessings from God... i, myself am waiting anxiously for God to give me a child and i can't wait to have one... i hope that the parents will be punish accordingly for the things that they do to their children...

It is difficult for me to think of how anyone can neglect their children over being addicted to video games to the point that the chldren's life is compromised. Sadly it is too often a fact that people don't realize happens.

i heard about this story.what really ticks me off is they aren't taking responsibility for their actions,they are blaming it on the game. No one twisted their arm to play this game.If they thought they were so addicted,why didnt they throw the darn thing out!

This is absolutely disgusting. I am addicted to MyLot but I don't neglect everything else to be on here. I make sure things are done and taken care of before I get on here. I hope those people are never allowed to have those children back. Children are a gift from God and should be cherished not abused.

That is horrible. Parents like that do not need children. I think I would like to do people like that the same way they do their kids. Except that I couldn't find it in myself to do that an animal let alone another human being. How could a person call themselves a parent and do their kids like that?

It's horrible! How these people could forget about their children? Did they not hear them? Did they not think of them when they got something to eat for themselves? This isn't from "distraction" it's from being low life self centered idiots!!!!! OMG, this is the very reason I support people need to have a license to have children. Those poor kids!

That is horrible what they did to their own children. Neglecting their children just because of being on the internet is not justifiable, I love to be on the internet but I make time for my youngsters and my house and my husband. They deserve to be in jail for what they did.

there are people around the world like this and it is a shame.God gifted them with such grand gifts for them and only them,and they abuse thier gifts.I wish people would just stop the abuse, but it will alway continue due to many don't know God and or think they are above the Good Lord and other people.It is so sad.

My husbands cousin and his wife. They are the same way, prolly ALMOST in the same boat. They have a 7 yr old and a 5 yr old, whom they dont take care of. The ONLY reason theese kids are fed, bathed ect is becuase His mother (gramma) takes the kids 95% of the time. She said that when they are home, they dont get fed, or bathed or anything. Becuase the parents are on the computer. She has asked for custody but the mother willnot allow it. Sad isnt it. People think kids are just toys. I wish I could have both those children. I would take care of them :(

This is very sad.Some people just were not cut out to be parents.I feel so bad when I hear storys like this,did not ask to be brought into this world.They deserve to have parents that love and care for them, not lazy parents that only wish to play video games,and stay on the computor.

This is sad, playing video games 24/7 not feeding their children LOL!! What kind of parents are they. If they aren't ready for babies then they should wait till they can handle the responsibility. Even if I'm a hardcore gamer i wouldn't let my kids die.

it's really heartbreaking to hear stories when innocent children are involved. one wonder how some people can be so irresponsible. i think there should be more campaign for proper parenthood so as incident like this can be prevented.

well i tried to post this before so let me try again..I think this is soo disgusting! And theer is noo excuse for it in the world! That poor girl having to have her head shaved because of all that cat p.!!.and that poor boy! I dont think 12 years is long enough..and i hope they never get there chidlren back..i know thats harsh..but thats just rediculous! And then i read that they are lookin into makin video gaming a sickness?? ohhh give me a freakin break! what its called is BAD PARENTING AND LAZINESS!! I love playing games and being online as much as the next guy..but i rarely an on when my son is home.I usually wait til he goes to bed.,.or if hes palying at a friends house..Ohh those people just infuriate me!..I hope those babies get better soon!

That is scary!!! What the heck is wrong with some people, to treat their children, or other humans this way? This kind of behaviour is sad and tragic. It really needs to be stopped, and these people need to be put away for the rest of their lives. There is no "debt repaid" after a certain amount of time, these people need to be imprisoned for life!!

This is so sad to hear of such child neglect. I hope that the parents receive a good lesson taht they should remember for all their life.

I can't imagine how you could get so involved in a game that you could neglect two babies. I am on the internet a lot but I know that a crying baby would disturb me enough that I would remember to feed them. This is a ridiculous story and I think that these two parents should suffer the full extent of the law. This was totally uncalled for and there is no excuse for it!

No thanks! I have no desire to read that article. I know horrible things like that happen in this world and really I just can't take it?
