That I must say is a tough question to answer, because I just like too many fruits. I eat fruits daily together with my meals. If I have to narrow down to a few, then my favourite fruits would be mangoes, grapes (the red and black seedless ones), lychees, longans and durians.

There are a lot of different fruits that I really like. Top of the list would be strawberries, grapes, Granny Smith apples and watermelon....nothing better on a hot summers day than a big bowl of fruit salad.

Usually you will find apples in my house and bananas, simple because the kids can just grab one as a snack I don't have to prepare and they are fast snacks to add to their lunches. Oranges I like but a teacher at school is allergic to citrus fruit so I can't pack it in lunch and they are messy so really only get those in the summer. We like watermelon and grapes but they don't last long in the house when we get them. Green grapes are better. I like Kiwi and Mango but noone else here likes it. Peaches pears plumes and all that more in the summer seasons. I like that fruit prices go down in the summer and there are more available locally. We do enjoy fruit here and there is so much you can do with them. I love berries and pick several quarts of blueberries I freeze to use throughout the year. When I add fruit to so dessert I feel like it made it just a bit healthier and feel better giving it to my family. Vicki

I love all fruits that are grown in my region like Oranges, jack fruit, apples, grapes, banana, Chikku. Four of my sisters are abroad and they keep coming to Bangalore once in 3 months and enough stock of dry fruits will always be there at home. Fruits are easy to digest and very rarely they can create a problem for people. Particularly those who have diabetes should be careful in consumption of certain fruits.

Young jackfruit
Young jackfruit
Illustration of the size of jackfruit.
Illustration of the size of jackfruit.
It is an evergreen tree growing to 10-15 m tall. The leaves are alternately arranged, elliptical, 5-25 cm long and 3-12 cm broad, often lobed on young trees but entire on mature trees. The flowers are produced in dense inflorescences 3-7 cm long and 1-2.5 cm broad; the male and female flowers produced on separate inflorescences, the female inflorescences commonly borne on thick branches or the trunk of the tree (cauliflory).
The fruit is huge, seldom less than about 25 cm in diameter. Even a relatively thin tree (circa 10 cm) can have huge fruits hanging on it. The fruits can reach 36 kg in weight and up to 90 cm long and 50 cm in diameter. The jackfruit is the largest tree borne fruit in the world.
The sweet yellow sheaths around the seeds are about 3-5 mm thick and have a taste similar to pineapple but milder and less juicy.
The English name jackfruit derives from Portuguese jaca, which is derived from Malayalam chakka. See below for other names of the fruit worldwide.
To explain clearly, I insert a clipping from wikipedia.
Chikku is also known as sapota, grown in a tree, each fruit when it is ripe, have two or 3 seeds covered with bronish soft pulps. very tasty and sweet.

I love strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries. I get to try the first two, but the third, I may have to move back to Vancouver and the last is so expensive and I have not gotten around to plant a blueberry bush. I have acidic soil near the house. I also love pineapples, bananas, peaches, plums, nectarines. The only fruit I do not like that much are pears and watermelons and that is because they are so sticky and I want to keep my hands clean all the time.

You have probably never tasted or have never seen my favorite fruit ever. It can only be found in Asia. It's called Durian, not all people would love to chow on this fruit. This is strictly for the train tounge only. It's very tasty if you'll like it, and I mean very, very tasty. But if you dont like it, you'll say it's the fruit from hell. If you come to the Philippines, find this fruit. Have a taste at it, and tell me what you think.
Keep safety...

Watermelon is my favorite fruit, hands down. But other fruits that I really enjoy are: strawberries, kiwis, grapefruits, grapes, cherries, and tomatoes (please no one correct me, tomatoes are fruit). Oddly, I only like apples when they are in something. I don't like to eat them just how they are.

I love mangoes so much, esp the green ones(we call it Indian mangoes), I eat it together with "alamang"(a native fish sauce), it's really good. I like also apples, grapes, pears and bananas. They are really nutritious and healthy to eat. I see to it that I get to eat some fruits atleast in 1 day.
