I see some suspicious discussions on mylot and just a reminder, i was the first to reply to a certain auto repair question and i ended up with a virus on my computer. It was a trojan virus where someone can access your computer if you are on-line, so beware, but don't panic. Just don't open suspicious emails unless your certain!
Take care people!

Thank you for your concern. At least, at this point of time, we will be cautious and vigilant about this. I cannot believe that just by opening only your email, you will have a chance to be infected. All I know, is you can get a virus if ever you have opened up the file attachment that was attached in the email. Can you tell to us what is the subject of the email and what does it look or contain when you have opened this email? By the way, how did you know that you were infected by trojan? Have a nice day!
Best regards,

I got this virus right after i opened an email inside my msn email page. It was from a new user who i accepted his friend request. The info that i got from the virus was what type it was and when it was sent, but i couldn't find out who or where exactly. Now i don't accept friend requests from users with no interests, no friends, no avatar and strange discussions. Take care Braveheart07.

Was this email notification from mylot? you should post up the user link so we know to stay away from it or even report it to mylot. The thought of someone going through my computer scares the heeby jeebies out of me. I have a lot of personal information on here too. UGH..nothing is ever safe these days!

This is not from mylot, it is something i noticed about 1am my time. Some users have a hong kong address and nothing on their profiles, plus their stories don't add up! Somehow they attach a trojan to a word or a digit and when you open an email they can access your computer if you go on-line! I'm not saying these users are doing this, but i don't doubt it. It happened once to me and i don't want it to happen to anyone else!
Take care Maddysmommy.

Yes, unfortunately it's true.
Did you know that Another virus has been discovered and it is quickly working its way around the Internet these days. The name of the virus is "Robot" and it looks as if this one has perfected the use of trickery. The virus comes in through an e-mail, with the scammers conning you into thinking they're going to help you, but they actually infect you instead. Keep reading for more details on this!
The e-mail you might see says something about a robot detecting abnormal activity from your IP address when you're sending out e-mails. It then goes on to say that this is probably happening because of another virus and they offer you a patch to install. The patch will supposedly remove the virus files and stop any further "bad" e-mails from going out. They then tell you that if you don't get the patch, your account will be blocked and you won't be able to send any e-mails at all.
Once you install the patch, a Trojan then installs itself into your Windows system folder under the name of "windev-72b5-203e.sys." The Trojan virus has also been found under other names, including Trojan.Packed.13, W32/Nuwar@MM, Worm:Win32/Nuwar.JT and Mal/Dorf-A. Now, as you can see, this scam is perfect, because when most people are told they're infected with a virus, they do whatever they can to get rid of it. That is, despite the fact they may be hurting themselves even more in the end. So, the bottom line is, if you see anything like this pop up in your e-mail, don't do anything with it. Just ignore it, delete it and keep on moving. Stay safe, my friends!

Did you get the virus from mylot? Is that person still on here? I have been seeing an awful lot come to my email boxes, but I always delete without opening them. Thanks for the warning.

Thanks for the advice I once got a trojan horse virus on my computer it was very difficult to remove and I didn't know until I read your post that it let people view your computer when you are online. Thanks for this advice everyone needs to be aware of the dangers of being online.

I very rarely go to people's profiles unless they are already on my friend's list--also, I've been getting some weird emails...they're usually in my spam/bulk file,...no message, just an email attachment..yeah, right, like I'm going to open it up....just delete the things
There was supposed to be a "new" virus going around called the Harry Potter worm....people thought it'd be news about the Harry Potter book, open it up and viola...virus attack
