When a woman says a guy is "hot", do they mean his looks or his personality ?

I have to go along with the crowd on this one. Hot generally refers to looks. When I think of the word hot in terms of personality I think of temper and a hot temper isn't always a good thing. Turning the question around what do guys mean when they say a gilr is hot?

On a personal note, it means his looks really. The way he dressed and physical appearance so to speak. . Thats it. (",)

If a woman says that a guy id hot I would imagine she is talking about his looks.

yes i agree, hot is a term related to looks. if a girl is putting attributes to personality her choice of words is not "hot" but rather he's sensitive, or macho, or caring, or funny, etc.... "hot" and "fine" are both reserved for looks in most females...and i believe males personalities.

I think both.If you go for looks than you wont say hot and even if you go for personality than it wont be hot.I think looks,personality and dress makes a guy hot.

for me when i say a guy is hot it means i like his physical appearance. i usually like hot men like brad pitt or antonio. i dunno, i just like lookin at those abs and arms =)

Hello there Kudeshi! Well usually when a girl says a guy is hot, she is speaking of his looks but then agin at times it could be because of his personality. If I see a guy who looks cute, I say he’s hot because he looks good, then again if I see a guy who is “gangsta” all decked out in hip hop clothing and only speaks in ghetto slang, I say he’s hot because he has a personality of a bad boy…lol.. So it all depends on who or what we are looking at. We use the term he’s hot loosley…lol..

If I say a guy is hot I would mean his looks. He could be dumb and a doorknob I don't know but if he has great looks then he is hot. Like Orlando Bloom, don't know him from a hole in the grond but to me he is hot hot hot! LOL Vicki
