I usually will look through there posts and see what they post on here. And I will also see if we share interests and opinions.

I actually haven'y invited someone to be my friend in quite a while but I usually just go by the quality of a persons discussion or the way they responded to something I said. I rarely actually go check the profile. I've been lucky so far as I have a lot of good friends on here

Well, I do check out their profile. I know some just automatically accept the friend requests. I look through at least two pages of their discussions, and sometimes I even look at their friend list. If someone on their friend list is on mine, and that poster is really straightforward, then I am more inclined to feel better about accepting them.

I like to see how long they have been a member verses how many friends they have. Alot of members like to just collect friends. If they have over 100 friends and been here for less than a month, they are collecting, I will deny. I also look at discussions and responses to see if they are worth adding. I don't like to add if they don't have quality discussions and responses. I sometimes, not always look at their interests, they might have some interests that I like but don't have in my list. I don't get very many requests, so I don't really worry about it too much.

That's a great point! I wouldn't like to be "collected" either. I am new here, and had a few requests when I signed in today. I only accepted one of them, and they have a ton of friends. I would much rather feel some kind of connection. Thanks so much for your response:)

The only times I've sent a friend request is because I enjoyed their topics or their comments that I read on other people's topics. I don't usually read much on their page, but like to check their new discussions fairly often.
