Oh no that poor 911 operator probably went crazy every time she called. And the child's poor mother when she found out what her child was doing. I would have been so embarrassed. But it was very smart of them to offer her McDonalds.

I am trying to figure out how the toddler got ahold of the phone in the first place..I would be horribly embarrassed by this..we all make mistakes and I am sure she will learn from this one..

The mother probably was letting the child play with the phone and forgot the 911 feature still works even when the phone is still deactivated.

She let the child play with it not thinking she would be able to dial 911 because it was shut off.

Yea i know they were so many times.Well atleast they did solve the problem.Its good you can still have 911 feature on cell phones.:)

This is a funny story, I would have been so embarrassed if my kids did that to me though. I just can't believe how many times she rang this number. I do feel sorry for the operator, but I bet they have all had a good laugh over it now.

Now why did the mother give the child the cell phone in the first place. I feel a cell phone is not a toy so she should not have given it to the child.
I am supprised they did not site the mother.

To play with I guess it was her choice. THey didnt site her because she didnt know.

We have had many calls like this from children but never that many times in a night. I can about imagine what that operator was going through. I am a 911 operator and I would have literally really been pulling my hair out of my head.

How embarrassing! NO more letting kids play with my old cell phone!
