According to me, Federer is a skilful player while Nadal depends more on power. The slowness of clay plays into the hands of Nadal, but it's the exact opposite on grass and hard court. I respect both players style of play but it's always fun and exciting to watch skillful tennis rather than hard-hitting ground shots.
It will take a lot of courage and stamina from Roger Federer to win at Roland Garross, which I don't see him coughing up in the near future.

He is unable to win mainly because rafa is left handed and federer is not as fast as rafa on clay. Also rafa plays good tennis.

It's simple, Rafa is just too strong of a player and he practically glides on the court when it comes to clay, Fed is gonna need to adjust his game more within the next couple years to have a chance at beating nadal in the french.

Its because of two reasons:
1. They clay does not suit roger's style of play. Clay game is slow and it requires patience and continues hitting from the base-line, while federer is eager to have winners and eventually this is responsible for his many unforced errors..
2. Federer has to play against RAFAEL NADAL. He is the fittest player and is known as one of the best all time players on clay court as he has won record consecutive 81 times on clay, atlast beaten by federer.
