When you FIRST get romantically involved with someone,
who said "I love you" first? was it you or her/him?
Was it face to face, through letter or over the phone?
(doesn't matter if it's over)

Well at the time i was in a abuse relationship and had been for 8yrs 10yrs in total with the same guy since i was 12yrs old...Long time well i met someone on a online dating site and decided that if i wanted to stop the abuse i had to do something to leave so i went to meet this person face to face i had been talking to him for a while before hand.
We both new we had feelings so when i got time to leave him that day as i had travel over 150 miles to see him, we both burst into tears and i just step on the train to go back to the guy that was horrible to me as i couldn't just stay there i had responsabiltaies to deal with first..
I then recieved a txt message saing I LOVE YOU and i was so shocked i justed want to turn around and go back but i couldn't....sorry so long..

It was my ex who said i love you first over the phone, he can't say it in person because he was so shy courting me. He even sent me letters but anonymously.

romantic in a unique way....
Did he understood what you were saying that night? Cause if not - it'll be a waste of you to say those wonderful words...

My boyfriend of eleven years was the one to say it first and I didn't say it back. That has gone on for several years. He has probably said it a dozen times over the years but only once did I say it. It was over the phone about 8 years into the relationship. I was away for a few days with our son who was having surgery far away from home. After the surgery I called to check on the other kids and tell them everything went okay. I was emotional (have to be tough before surgery) and it was the first time I was away from the other childern and I told him I loved him. I guess it meant a ton to him because he brings it up saying, that was when he knew how much I cared. He never was sure before that.

it always him. I've been get involved dor 3 times and it's always him who said that. For me, i won't say it first because i'm a girl.i don't know maybe i'm an old fashion person in this case. And always face to face. I don't appreciate if a man say it through letter or sms or email or phone or something. It has to be said directly.

yes, a little old fashion, natural and traditional in a sense but sounds good because the guy had to be a gentleman, right?
