For those who like to drink cold water, thisarticle is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drinkafter a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff thatyou have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this"sludge" reacts with the acid, it will break down and beabsorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line theintestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It isbest to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal. A serious note about heart attacks - You should know that not every heartattack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intensepain in the jaw line. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heartattack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% ofpeople who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Painin the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and beaware. The more we know the better chance we could survive. It's an urban legend : http://www.snopes.com/medical/myths/coldwater.asp Please always check these kind of information to see if it's true or false before passing it on. I have been guilty too in the past in doing so. I like www.snopes.com for that.

I try to drink warm water, but if I get to a restaurant they do not offer warm water. They give you cold water with ice in it. Oh it is nice to have all this scarey information, but tell me this. Do you people from India get great pleasure from scaring all us with this information? You are not the first one who has done this. This seems to be a common practice.

Umm...what does being from India have to do with anything? Indians certainly don't have the market cornered on urban legends.
