Hi everybody.. one of my friends is getting married this weekend.. While she has told me about this eons ago, I neglected it for a while. And now the date is fast approaching and I still haven't bought anything for them.. It also doesn't help much that my budget for this is very limited since i had paid all my bills and pay day is a long way off.. This thing is really starting to stress me out. I know it shouldn't but it just adds up to the anxiety brought about by work and expenses. I don't even have time to shop for a gift since i usually work on ten-hour shifts. *Sigh* Help please!!!

Depending on your budget you could perhaps organise a little gift basket for the new bride and groom- add things like bubble bath, massage oil, candles, some incense sticks... anything to do with pampering. Here in Australia you can pick up some really nice stuff like bubble bath in champagne bottles from the $2 shop (discount variety store). A little bit of cellophane and maybe a ribbon. Simple and quick to make. Thoughtful and useful for their wedding night or in those early days of marital bliss....lol Just duck over to a shop during your lunch break, or even ask a friend or relative to get the stuff for you. I love the coupons idea above :) Good luck with it all... try to relax, enjoy the wedding and keep in mind that its the thought that counts...

Hi! I have a great idea! The best gift is the one that no one has ever thought of and one that you made yourself :-) If your friend is female, make her homemade coupons, each coupon she can redeem for you to do some chores for her or to make her favorite meals. Make the handmade coupons fancy and put expiration dates on them, then stuff them all in a large envelope and gift wrap it. You can also put on the coupon(s) that she can redeem them 1 at a time. Make them fun and creative. These chores coupons will save her some stress from cleaning up her house and save money on hiring a maid. Best of all, your friend will appreciate it. Only make these coupons if you live in close vicinity of her. Here are examples: 1) This coupon entitles you to your favorite FREE homemade dessert made by yours truly. Expires: December 31, 2007 (Make several of these). 2) This coupon entitles you to 1 day of FREE housecleaning by yours truly. Any room(s) of your choice. Expires: January 5, 2008 (Make several coupons like these entitles her to 1 day of free housecleaning). 3) This coupon entitles you for one FREE homemade dinner of your choice made by yours truly. Expires: April 2, 2008 (Make several of these). Hope this helps!

i will suggest to give her a cutlery set... a cutlery set does not cost a lot but it is very useful to them as they are just starting a family... i myself receive a lot of cutlery gifts when i am married and i am very very happy... i use them now and they remind me of the person who give it to me...

Icepop i suggest with limited time and budget you just give them something they'd use, a BLANKET :) yes a bed blanket. Its not that pricey but its definitely useful. Goodluck!(:

Hey friend i am lickely to be confused rather taking this kind of discussions.upon it is her marriage you should do some thing different. take up your budget and go to some shops and select a different gift for her.you really need to cope up with the time and spend few hours for getting the gift. in my openion you must give her the things which made her to thought about you.Must give her a mobile Phone or a big sceenery etc.

My favourite idea for a wedding gift is a set of engraved pens with the name of the bride and groom on it. If the bride changes her name I take their initials in order (B & F Smith for example) even if the groom's name starts with the latter initial) and if the bride keeps her name I take the names in order (B Smith and A Thompson) regardless of WHO'se name fomes first. this has been my trademark gift for family weddings, and everyone has loed it so far. I owe my cousin a set, since she got married when I was out of town.
