Have you ever had to cancel a Paypal account?

About a year ago, I had to cancel my first Paypal account, because they refused to accept my bank account information. I'm not sure why they would turn me down. I think it was a miscommunication. Anyway, it had become a real hassle trying to deal with them. Soon afterwards, I decided to get a new Paypal account and I am very happy that I did! My Lot pays almost exclusively through Paypal. And, for the first time this past month they paid me a very nice sum of money directly into my Paypal account. I guess this would not have happened if I hadn't gotten my new account and worked past the hurdles that Paypal puts up for users. Has anyone else had to cancel their Paypal account before? Why did you cancel your Paypal account? Did it work out well? When did you get a new Paypal account? Please share your experiences with Paypal.

paypal logo - Paypal the best way to go.
I've had my Paypal account for over 5 years and have never had a problem. I don't even have access to my bank account because I have someone who takes care of my finances for me and I had no problem getting the account with them. I'm sorry to hear you had such problems but happy that you finally did get an account. I think it's the best way to receive payments from any earnings site.

You're so right! I'd rather get paid through paypal than by check. So easy for someone to steal a check. When I got that first My Lot payment into my paypal account I was on pins and needles until I saw that amount on my Paypal balance. It was there plain as day. Very nice! And, it transferred into my bank account with ease. For some reason the site is working for me now. Not sure why I had such trouble getting things to work out before. And, I am so very happy! Thanks for dropping by.

I am sorry that you had a bad experience with paypal at first - I guess I am lucky and have never had a problem setting up or using my paypal account in the last 2 years! Glad that you got it all sorted out though and enjoyed your payment from mylot! xxx

Well, I finally got it all sorted out! And, I am so thankful. I missed out on so many wonderful opportunities the first few years that I was online cause I couldn't get the paypal account to work. All is well now. Thanks for dropping by. Always nice to hear your voice. Be well.

I couldn't get my bank account on the paypal either. I think it was because it was mostly military based, so maybe they are super careful. *shrugs* I didn't bother canceling and making a new one then because I knew I would have the same issue on any other account as well. I was able to put my husbands bank on there, so it was no big deal. However, I am going to cancel and make a new account soon because I'm tired of it having my maiden name instead of my married name. The hassle they make you go through just to change your last name is very silly. It's easier just to start over with the current last name. I have much love for paypal though!

Most days I couldn't live without paypal! Honestly! The other day I was going to renew one of my domain names and the site gave me the option to pay by paypal balance and I hopped on it. The entire transaction was over in less than thirty seconds. Not like when I have to enter all those credit card/debit card numbers. Paypal keeps all my good info. Hey, have you tried an online bank like Netbank? http://netbank.com They are very reliable, and provide easy access to your money online. Lots of great features. I have used their banking services before. And, it's free checking with good interest. I like that part. And, most importantly, compatible with Paypal.

Oh my friend so sorry to hear about that. You know I have heard from some people about problems they have had with paypal. But I have had a paypal account for 4 years and I have never had a problem with them. I have never had to cancel my account, but I know my sister has had the same problem you talked about, but somehow she got it all fixed. Hope you don't have anymore problems with paypal. Have a great day.

Thanks! Yeah, I got it all worked out. But, it took awhile. I am thinking now it had more to do with the bank I was using than Paypal. Paypal is a very good company. Most times when I am given the option of paying with credit card or my paypal balance, I will choose paypal everytime. Just easier, I guess. And, I hear they have an account that has almost 5% interest. Way better than my bank account pays. Thanks for dropping by!

At the beginning I was not family with the payment rules here. I applied for a Paypal account but I wouldn't get my payment from Mylot. Then I know that I should registered Paypal International so that I could get my payment. Therefore, I cancel my Paypal China account and applied for the International one and glad that I had no problem to receive my payment any more:)

Hello everyone my friend sold a guitar ($215.00) and in his Ebay description included: "sold AS-IS" , "No Warranty" , "Does Not Work", "Well used and Plenty of Scratches". he was paid thru Paypal and when the buyer received the item he complains that it does not sound right.....? Could he have downgraded his item any further??? he offerd the person a 20% refund wich was above and beyond his obligation since he declared no warranty ect. He did not responde and went on to file a claim thru Paypal for a refund. This locked my Paypal for weeks while they "investigated" and eventually Paypal found in his favor and without any rebutal or dignity they removed the monies from my account and granted the buyer a refund! Now, even though he will never use Paypal again he cannot cancel his account with them without going thru a multitude of leaps and bounds! "Whatever", he say. he will just blindly change his password so that even he dont know what it is and move on. Thanks for this site!

I had to cancel an account because of a fraudulent charge. It was not big deal. I called PayPal and had them cancel out the account so I could set up a new one. Everything was done in less than 5 minutes.

I've never had any issues with paypal really. I got my first account several years ago. Maybe 6? I'm not sure. It's been a while. I used it up until I got married. Then I just started using my husband's, since I was getting rid of my old checking account and I had changed my name. We opened another paypal account shortly after we got married, so we could both get paid by some of the sites that we were both members of. It's worked out well for us. Neither of us has ever had any issues at all. I think my husband had his account for about 2 years before we got married, so he's been using it for over 4 years now without a single problem.
