Concept of Dolls and Puppets In Movies?

Who does not remember Child's Play? All parts, inclusive of the Bride of Chucky and Seedling of Chucky....In my opinion, Dead Silence was a thrilling movie at some aspect, but puppets were not so scary to give goosebumps. I guess the dolls were more expressive facially and in other manner....Just want to know the opinion of you guys of what you think about having dolls or puppets as being the main themez of horror moviez...?
