For all you smokers, what do you do when you run out of lighters?

When I run out of lighters, which I did a couple days ago because I left my last one out in the rain.. oops.. I just use matches. I usually have some because the casino gives them out free and I'm always taking some from there. But if I don't have matches then I use the stove, like you said. I hate doing that though because it makes my face get all hot as I'm trying to light it. One time my boyfriend thought it would be a better idea to light a sparkler on the stove and use it to light a candle and then use the candle. He was also stoned so I let him go with it. He felt like a genius lol

The trick is not to run out of lighters.I bought a big box of these cheapy ones off ebay.There's like 50 lighters in the box so it's going to take a really long time to use them up.I hate having to use the stove.;-)

Well, i do the same thing just like you do. A match or if i can't find one too i'll go run straight to the kitchcen and light it from the stove. Take care. (",)

I have used the stove before......lol quite a few times. I have not done it in a long time though. I guess you could run to the car and see if the ashtray lighter works?

If you strike two rocks together it makes a spark. In the absence of rocks anti smokers heads work well. I found that the toaster is easier to use then the stove. It works just like a car lighter.

I will use the stove as well, however I think I have lighters everywhere so the chanse of me not finding one is very slim =)

I will never run out of lighters at home as my dad is a smoker too, so he will make sure that there are lighters or boxes of match sticks at home.. However when i'm out of my house, i will make sure i carry my lighter.. In case i forget, i will have a spare lighter inside my bag too.. So in case i keep changing bags and shifting my lighter around, i place one lighter inside every bag that i have.. LOL ^_^ In this way, i have no fear if if i forgot my lighter.. hehe But now, i've quitted smoking.. haha

I have probably about 7 lighters right now through out my room and i don't even smoke cigs! lol and my mom always has a pack in her room and we have loads of matches we bought for hurricane session. and my aunt used to use the stove thing a lot it does the trick!

I am pretty good about making sure there are plenty of lighters laying around in every room in the house haha. So I don't run into the problem much. But the best thing was one year when I was younger I was at the beach. I couldn't find a lighter anywhere and I was in the room and the first thing I saw was the toaster! Which really is more convenient than the stove haha. Turn that bad boy on and light it up :)

oh my this happens so often with me and i get really upset. especially when i am relaxing and watching a movie and i run out of a light. i have to go to the stove to light my cigeratte and that gets me real mad.

Well Jennifer,Theres allways the toaster too. lol couldnt you have lit a candle? I smoke and know i shouldnt but just going without? I only go without-well when im OUT. How about the wooden kitchen matches? Myself,I use a Zippo most of the time and a can full of fluid goes a long ways.

I never never run out of lighters

I try and make sure that never happens.But it has and I have had to use my toaster,I have an electric stove so I think the toaster works better. Jas

I usually use the stove, but only when the kids are asleep. I don't smoke in my house either. So I usually keep my zippo on hand and a few extra lighters too. Other than that, I use my husbands.

Datz y i dont use dem,, itz better 2 use matchsticks.... easier n cheaper 2 ..

We have matches lying around somwhere that I could run and find. Plus I know we have lighters laying around all over the house...I'd just have to search until I find one. We have one of the flat stoves that get hot without a fire burner. I hate it because I can't use it to lite anything with, haha! So if I happen to run out of anything that lites up my cigs, I'll just go without. I usually smoke out of boredom anyway! :)

I wasn't bad for losing lighters but sometimes it did happen. I used to use the toaster to light it but after I stopped smoking in the house I would run to the car and use its lighter to light up. My man is the one who usually stole my lighters though. I could tell cause he picks off the saftey feature on his but I left my on. Sucked because I would always get it back loaded in grease. Vicki

when i run out of lighters,i always have a spare book of matches that i keep in my purse.also i keep one of those long lighters that you use to lite candels with in my kitchen.so i know i will never run out of something to light my ciggs.

use the stove or the toaster works well too! when there's a will theres a way. lol
