Which do you prefer to be your friends younger or older than you?

I get along with people of all ages, as I would like to think I do.. ehehe... But then if I were to choose between younger, same age or older, I would go for older since I enjoy learning new things and hearing from them their experiences in life. They have gone through more than I have so they would know more to advice. And the thing is that I think I am quite mature emotionally. Sometimes I get tired of hearing those around my age group whine about love life problems and stuff like that, cause their problems seem so petty and they make an extra big deal out of it. While older people are done with that stage and handles things differently.

I don't have an age preference. I am 50 and I have friends in my own age group as well as some that are much much younger and some that are much older. I get along easily with most people and I find that I can learn alot from the very young as well as those older and wiser than myself.

I have friends who are older than me and some are younger to me. I get along well with all of them. I generally prefer persons older than me, because I can rely on their experience, which will serve handy.

hi lyn, i have friends both younger and older than me. i guess, its all about sharing the same vibes rather than choosing friends. well, its like this - i belong to a special kind and so do you and all for that matter. anyone who is close to that kind or vibe becomes ourfriends. it could be someone older or younger or of the same age. so Mr.X (65 yrs), Ms Y (20) both could be my friends if we share the same wavelengths. that is the beauty of friendship and this is true for everyone, we cannot decide on our friends but it happens naturally. smiles... thanx for being my friend.

I have honestly never even thought about the ages of my friends. But I have younger and older friends and they are all great friends which I love..To me it makes no difference because we all have certain things in common with each other.

I think this is a great question. I like friends of any age, because I think everyone has something to offer, but I prefer my friends older than me. This is because they are mature and have had more life experiences, and can teach me something. I like that.

Choice of friends ...I prefer people of my older age because they have more experiences in life than me. The level of matured thinking is apt to reflect in older people , which saves you from many hardships in day-to-day life .

At first I thought that I'd prefer friends who are more or less the same age as me...but then later I discovered that even the very young ones can be my friends too because although there is a gap in age, we still have a discussion in common, so from that time on, I did not limit to friends my age, but also welcomed even the very young ones...my, they have requested me to be their friends, so I could not turn them down...it means even the young and the not-so-young can still have many things in common, and that's really a welcome development here at mylot...

i have both young and older but i prefer the old ones..they are experenced and can give me a very good advice when i need one..as for young ones i give credit to them by giving advices to them..but most of the time i like older friends.

If net friend then I do not account age, as I have no change to meet him/her so age no bar. If in-country then friendship with too young is not looks good, but if female then no problem as younger girl has to learn many things from aged friends freely without hesitation.

I have both elder and younger friends. Age is not a big problem for friendship. Friends have to understand each other and ready to do anything for the welfare of the other. Younger ones might also have more experience than us. So, it is better to accept their friendship based on their character and attitude than on seeing their age.

I don't mind my friends older than me or my junior, I will not be the size of the age to choose my friends.My friends, which they age than small, and some are older than me,and younger than my little friends together, I feel I was very young, and older friends together, can learn a lot of things, to me they are important.

hi lyn godd day to you! i dont get to choose my friends but most of the time i associate my self with older ones , because they have lots to share , stories to tell, their experiences , and words of wisdom. i like talking and sharing ideas to older people because older persons tend to listen more than to talk..lol hehehe thanx take care b safe

hmm.. Really confusing Topic.. Because Friends are Friends.. May be they are Older or Younger.. I agree that Older friends Advice us, but we can give Advice to Younger once.. But most important is having same age Friends. Because we can share our Feelings and Share Our Mind Issues and many more we can do.. Have Girlfriend [to boy] and Boyfriend [to Girl] is important too.. Because those are only whom a Boy or a Girl Share almost all feelings..
