Erased ?

It is against myLot rules to post things like song lyrics, poems and sections of news etc. All a user can do really is view the piece and maybe comment that they like it. MyLot wants topics that give certain views or opinions or ask questions that can be expanded upon by responders.

Hello brunofortes. There are a lot of topics that are not allowed here. Some of the poster gave you a list already. Make sure you post topics that members can state their opinions. I'm sorry to hear that your discussion was deleted though.

Was the lyric of someone else's song, and did you give credit for it? You are not to post copyrighted material unless it is credited. Was it something that led to a discussion? Did it call for an opinion? If it did not, then it was deleted for that. If it just called for an answer of "Do you like it? " Yes or no. There are a lot of things that might have gotten it deleted.

It has to do with copyright. You have to get permission from the writer to post it. If myLot does not see the "posted with the permission of" and if you did not inform them, the song is going to be deleted. You may have meant no harm, but the lyricist probably worked for months on those words. They did not come to him or her easily and he or she expects to get paid for the work.

MyLot is very serious about giving proper credit for things like songs and news articles. Also, did you get any inappropriate replies? Your discussion could have been deleted for someone else's reply.

Hi there. Ive had this happen to me twice now, and without reason too... It beats me, why they delete discussions, because with mine, Im positive I kept within the guidelines...

I think maybe it has something to do with it being against the rules and that is why it was deleted. I hope it won't happen next time. Good luck with that.
