I have six year old twins and my daughter seems to be heavier then my so. My sons weight is about 45 lbs. Is that normal. He is a very active child always running around and playine. My daughter is always watching TV and sitting down most of the time. What do you think is a normal weight for a 6 year old?

Your son's weight should depend on his height more than his age. I think If I were you I would be more conserned for your daughter. with the obesity problem I think I would get your daughter up of the seat and out moving. Do you watch the Sauq' reality show about obease kids.

My son is six too and he is 39 lbs. He is the smallest child in his class but he is healthy and eats well. My other son is 8 and is 78 lbs. My six year old is the size my eight year old was when he was three. Different childern they just grow at different rates. Unless you are seeing a lack of food interest or if there is bathroom problems or if he shows others signs of problems I wouldn't worry about it. Vicki
