Back pain can someone help me? Need exercise that will help

I have written in my other discussion about how I hurt my back. I finally got my Doctor to get me an MRI on Wednesday but I get up in the morning and my back hurts so bad and I want to exercise but I am scared I will hurt my back and won't be able to walk standing straight up again. Can someone help me please.God bless

If you back is hurting you do not need to exercise. I have had two back surgeries and you should not mess around with your back. It may just be a pinched nerve or a pulled/strained muscle, but the best thing to do is rest your back. I have been told by my doctor that people do not think about all the stress on your back. That when you bend over to bush your teeth you need to bend down at your knees not stoop at your back. Also I was told to always support your back when sitting in a chair or to sleeping. I was told that a sagging couch or a waterbed is bad on your back. You need support. Back pain can be a pain in the butt. I hope you get your back to healing soon. I have gone through back pain since I was 18 and I am now 35. It really stinks. Please be careful and not injury yourself further.

I think two of yoga position that I know would help you somehow but I think you should be careful because I don't really know how bad you've hurt you back. They are call the cow and the cat. The cow is when you let you spine go towards your belly area and the cat is when you pull your spine back towards your back. You do all of that while on your knees and your hands. I hope this is helpful but I would check with your doctor first before doing them.
