Why do young people wear grandad hats?

What I would like to know is why do young people wear those horrible grandad hats. They look stupid, so why wear them? Is it some kind of horrible style that people seem to like for some reason. lol
I have seen many people aged 18-30 wear them, male and female. I have seen celebrities, poor people, rich people, average people wear them. BUT WHY??

I do not know. They look ridiculous, even on old people, lol. Maybe they think it looks awesome on themselves? I dunno.

I think some people are old souls and they like old stuff. I am that way with music and the way that I live my life. I think I am an old soul somehow.

It does not matter what a perception is except when it is dissenting and infringes on what others do. They think it a good thing to wear. It must be a fad and you know fads come and go. Some even return. Not sure what kind of hat that is, but please lighten up, they are wearing it and not you.
