This is such a slippery slope because most people have something in their past that was difficult or traumatic and how could one not want it not happen... but I would not change my past. I might feel bad for what I or others have done or things that have happened, but it is all out of my countrol.
No one has the power to change the past. We only have the power to control what we do today. That includes learning from the past and moving forward with that knowledge to be better people, with self-knowledge of who we are and what we need. It is a challenge sometimes to stay focused on the now because the past affects who we are today. We can learn from the past but our energy is wasted there if it keeps us from being in control of what we do in the moment.

yeah, i got a few things i want to change in my past. one in particular is taking my late mom for granted :( life is short and full of surprises (sad ones always break my heart, sigh). i wish i could have spent more time with her. i did a lot of mistakes, but most of which i don't want changed coz i learned a lot of lessons from them (of course the hard way). i still believe there's a reason why (bad) things happen (though rationally, it's mostly because people are just stubborn). i just know that our past, depending on our attitude, molds our future. thus, even if i got a few regrets, i'd rather leave my past as is.

There are some painful things that I would rather have not had to go through, but if I changed my past to avoid them, as the song, "The Dance" says, "I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance." If I changed these things from my past, I guess that I wouldn't have had the good memories from my past either, and who knows what my life would be like now...

This is not a practical question. totally imaginary. Any way I will not change my past, because I am the product of the past. I learn lessons from past experiences and try to correct my faults. I think thinking about in such a way is upsurd.
Thank you Vani.

No, I don't think I would change my past. My past is what made me into the person I am today. Of course there are things that I regret doing, but in a way I don't because I learned my lessons. Not to mention, if I changed the past, I might not have met some of the people I know now, and I love the people I know now! :)

I always thought I would want to change my past if I have the chance to go back and do it. But, that would change my present and possibly my future and I wouldn't want that at all. So, I will just leave the past where it is for now.
