At home, there is general instructions for all that no one should waste the food and whatever they can eat, only that much they should take. Unless someone feel that food is not tasty on a particular day, then it is a waste. When we go to restaurant, mostly it is the curry or some roits remain which no one wants, we ask the waiter to pack it. It is consumed next day, after it is refrigerated.

No, I always try to finish my food in the plate, even if I do not like any dish...I do not leave it in the plat...it looks very bad to me. I don't feel like licking it but finishing it with a spoon. If I am in a resturant, I order that much, which I can consume.
Excellent Post!

Hi sukumar! That is really good my friend! Having food on the table is a blessing and I am so glad that most of us don't waste it although there are those times that people can't help but leave some..however, they still find ways not to waste it like having the leftovers be eaten by their pets. Thanks for your response. I do appreciate it.
Take care and have a nice day!

Hi Faith!
Left over food I keep and eat the next day.
I let the cat lick the plate.
He loves that, sometimes I leave a little extra fish or meat
for him to eat. If I put the food in his dish, he won't eat it.
He wants to be human.
I don't mind to order or make too much, cause then I don't need
to cook the next day. Just warm it up, and sometimes I don't even
do that.
Well gotta go to my BF sisters. They are twins and are having there
birthday party today. I would rather stay at home, but once I am
there it will be fun. It usually is.
Take care my friend. Hugs and Blessings.
Have a great day.

Hi Faith!
Yes the party was nice. Lots of people in a very small house, but nice.
I talked to a lot of different people.
That was a change from the computer.
When I talk face to face with people I see more through the expressions of there faces. Problem is you cannot read it over to see if you said something stupid.
You cannot change or check up on what you have said.
Take care Faith.
Blessings, have a nice day.

If someone put the food on my plate and it's too much I say I can't finish it. I'll take a smaller plate and get only what I know I can finish.
Sometimes in the church potlucks there or parties there are so much good foods to enjoy and choose from. What I normally do is get a at least one bite size for each and then I'd go back for more for those that I liked best.

Oh no I never leave any food in my plate, thats the number one rule of my father since I was akid and until now that I have my own family.
I still remember when I was a kid everytime we sit in the dining table to eat.
My parents always reminds me always get food that I can only eat and don't get too much I can't consumed.
Even now I have my own family I do always remind my daughters about that thing.
If were eating in a resto and there's a food left we take out it and we sometimes give to the children on the street or to the beggars.

What a coincidence! We have similar upbringing. My parents always reminded us about the children who die of hunger and how lucky we are for there is food on the table. Such blessings should not be wasted. I took those valuable words in my heart and my brothers and I tell the same thing to the younger generation in our families.

I will always make it a point to finish my food, because I always remember those kids in Africa, India, Indonesia and all parts of the world who are "starving" and have nothing to eat, really. I appreciate my food and will not want it to go to waste. If I know I'm not that hungry, I will just put a small portion. Rarely do I not finish my food, unless I'm really sick or something.
Good discussion here, my friend. Take care and happy posting to you.

My mom always remains me about never leave the food on our plate, because there is some people outside that still lack of food--also we must thankful that we can still eat many things ^_^
Yap, I only order the food that i can finish it or I share my portion to my brother because he has a big stomach :P
I will pack left-over food and give it to some beggar in the street or some people who really need the food

I dont like to waste food at all. I take only so-much that i can digest and and do not waste. As in Indian culture we sholud not waste food, because it has god in it. So wasting food is equal to insulting the food-giver.
try your best not to waste food. Cook only so-much that your food is not wasted.

Hi umeshthapa! That is very wise! One thing we should always do is to get only the food or dish that we know we like and can finish so we won't be wasting any. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I really appreciate your response.
Take care and have a great day!
