Yes I have lost my cat and no I never found it again no matter how much I went back and looked. I took my cat with me to my mothers I was helping her move and so I kept it in the bathroom so it couldn't get out and also kept the front door closed just in case well while me and my mom were gone getting food my dad and his friend let the cat out of the bathroom and left the front door open and so my cat got out and I never did get to catch him. We tried going back several times where she used to live but I guess since he was a gentle cat someone else took him in. Hopefully would hate to think what else happened to him even htough they were big dogs loose in the area. Now if I do take my new cat to my parents where I go it goes.

I have two cats that go in and out all day.
Bobcat likes to explore any open door he finds. He's been locked in the car, the shed and more than one closet. He also hides under the car and anything in the house with 4" of clearance. One time we kept hearing him meow, we thought he was under the house. We found him the next day when we opened the coat closet.
Coal is a wanderer. He likes to visit the other farms surrounding us. Sometimes we don't see hime for days. Then he acts like WE lost Him. He also has a bad habit of jumping from the trees around the house onto the roof. I got tired of climbing ladders to get him (I'm afraid of heights) so I left the ladder up on one side of the house. He has learned how to climb down the ladder himself.

Since most our cats were outdoors we have lost a few over the years. Once we had a cat gone for eight months and he returned. That was weird we never thought we would see him again and then one morning I was outside having my cup of tea and I heard something in the woods and he popped his head out and I was so shocked. The other day we locked the cat in the basement by mistake which is just by the back door and I would hear him cry and open the back door thinking he wanted in but he wasn't there. So I thought he left. Finally I was going down to get the laundry and he came running out. Poor Guy! At least it was cool down there though, it is so hot! Vicki

All my life long i had more then 20 cats . But one of them story was different than others. I am living in second floor of a 3 floor apartment. And there is a huge tree reaches to my balcony. One day i found a cat sleeping on the floor in my living room. I gave food and water to him and took him to vet. And had make them give him necessary shots. Everyday he came home ate drank and night times sleep at home and when it is day time he was leaving. And after 4 years he again left using the tree meowed me from downstairs and never came back. I still didn't forget him . I looked for him all year but never could find him. I hope he found a good family who take care of him.
