Protest Against Referral Links

Hi guys, I just thought I would start my own protest against referral links on mylot.com. As many of you are aware of the number of referral links being posted daily. You can literally see thousands of them being posted each day. Many topics get created over and over with people spamming there referral links to these make money on line. I report and report over and over, but nothing seems to be done about them. I check back days after and the posts are still there. This saddens me. I am fairly new to this site and I just want to do my bit on making this a greater place.:) So please join me on my quest!:) Thank you!

I am with you on this, I am sick and tired of people posting their stupid referral links to useless sites. There really isn't much we can do about it though, and reporting each and everyone would take up my whole day, because, well, they are everywhere. I just hope they read this and see how everyone is so fed up with it. Good post, and good day.

i would join you, but i have a little sin of mine. i also posted a discussion with my refferal link on mylot... it was my first discussion and i was not aware of the whole point of mylot then. i think you should go easy on people who post refferal links. give them time. i needed it. if the same user posts more discussions then report them. i guess mistakes can be tolerated ;D

I'm with you too pj.. I made a post saying I was finished but people that that become my friends over the last month have stopped me from doing so.. But we do need to put a stop to this.. Tell me what to do and lets do it.. Also though I am guilty of posting a referral link as well but that was when I first started here well over a months ago, But some of these people just don't want to read the posts and know that they can't do it here.. If they don't want to read well then they are going to have to pay for it..Pretty simple.. We need to keep this place clean!!

I just basically want everyone to have their say on it and I want MyLot to take note on it, and then take action on making a more effective system on fighting the people spamming their links all over the joint.

Well to be honest- when I was new I was looking for great discussions to respond to- Not looking for people to report- I leave that up to Mylot workers- If there are literally thousands a day they should not be too hard to find- I skip over those discussions- No big deal to me- Plus I don’t have friends that send out these referral links- and I answer most discussions by e-mail alerts. Good luck in your quest to make mylot a better place- Happy posting!

I think that we all need to join together to get these cheaters and spammers, the more that we report it maybe something will get done...Numbers speak, I have only in the last couple of days started reporting...the option is there to make this a better site..Why not use it..

I think that most of us are tired of seeing the site flooded with the referral links. MyLot allows us to post them on our profile page, and it would be nice if users would leave them where they belong.

Yeah, you are right that there are rules against them, but people still get away with posting them up here somehow. I guess it is very hard for them to not do it.

i think it is part of what this site is all about i dont think it should be against regulations i just think there should be a section for these posts so people like you are feeling harrassed by them. My daughters account was wiped her for posting links so although i havn't posted any i have signed up to many links posted here and am grateful somone shared the information.

I enjoy getting them deleted. I report them all and within a few hours, myLot pulls the post. Serves 'em right for not reading the guidelines before starting.
