My favorite Final Fantasy series would have to be FFVII because of the intriguing plot and the characters' depth.
Although this game doesn't have the best graphics, I really like how the characters have a background. Each has their own story that can be known when you watch the FMVs or do subquests. I also like the plot and the story. Nonetheless, most of the FF games share similar elements, but the elements that were used in this one made the game more than just a game, but like a story.
FFVII now has a compilation of many other related things that were spawned from the original game.
So do you feel the same way about this FF game or any others?

Same with me.. Although i admit, i don't enjoy the mode of the battle. When it comes to the movement and fighting scene, i more like ff8. but it's true, the story of ff7 is more amusing than any other ff. It's the only ff that i most enjoy watching the ending movie. (",)

Hmmm... I love Final Fantasy 8 because it was the first FF game I've played. I loved it because of the graphics, and the romantic storyline. I also like this kind of "Twist of Fate"- Squall and Rinoa's love story. Ahaha.. I love it because their parents were first lovers (Laguna Loire and the pianist, Julia) but then they were separated because of the war. Laguna found Raine next, while Julia found this general (was he a general or what? Lols!). So from the beginning the two were really connected to each other ahahaha... Hmmm... What else... It was the first among the FFgames to have cool graphics too, and I love the soundtrack-Eyes on Me by Faye Wong and First Love by Utada Hikaru...^_^
BUT... when SquareEnix/Squaresoft made FFVII into a movie, I say it has the best graphics. the storyline of FFVII is quite complex (I guess), but it has deeper thought, and the flow of the story is also exciting and amazing. The gorgeous characters, the cool fight scenes and weaponry... EXCELLENT! Ahahaha...
So I guess this is it.^_^

the final fantasy series is great!! i agree ffVII is probably the best, it has poor graphics but because of the good action and storyline, you can easily look past the graphics. Aquiring the knights of the round was a great accomplishment! I always really enjoyed ffIX, the great storyline again. i didnt get very far in ff8 i think it kind of sucked, maybe it got better? i probably will never know.

Final Fantasy Tactics. The story is really involving with a light Shakespearian connotation. It was a real treat beginning to end. Excellent gameplay, lots of options and the difficulty was a magnificent curve. Near the end of the game you had to make sure your troops had an A game and that was especially true at the real final dungeon.
Final Fantasy 6 was pretty cool since a lot of the RPG cliche's are broken. A woman who seeks love but does not find it where everyone expects. Another woman who denies herself but finds acceptance from another. A thief seeking true redemption. A king who would rather give freedom to all instead of wear a crown. And yes they had their flaws and problems, but they grew and it was quite a site to see what they were all capable of.

My favorite FInal Fantasy is easily Final Fantasy 8. I love the storyline and the character development is virtually flawless. I love Squall and the gunblade.
Another great thing about this game that I happen to like is the card game. Also, this is one of the first Final Fantasys to focus purely on romance isntead of "completely" saving the world.
I suppose the battle system was pretty good as well. It wasn't one of my favorite things about the entire game, but it was still pretty cool.
