My husband went back to his country, I'm a lone at home. During daytime it is Ok. But at night, I'm really scared and feel so lonely. Are you afraid when you stay at home alone?

Sometimes staying home alone can be very scary. Can you have a friend stay over? Would a relative stay over? The person you have stay must be a good person. If you don't know what people are like or will do at night, then you could get a really big dog that barks only when someone tries to get into your home. You can lock the doors and even fix them so an alarm goes off if anyone tries to get in through your doors and windows. Often, windows are the least secure part of a building and many people have gotten in by windows. Make sure all windows and doors are secure before you go to bed.

Thanks for your advise. I and my husband come to Australia for working. So we're all foreigner here. I have no relative around here. And I'm pregnant at 36weeks now. Everything can happen now. I feel so lonely and emply at home. The home is so quite, i can here every movement of every small pieces that make me more scare. Here is quite safe, so I do not worry about secure. I'm just afraid because I'm alone at home.

i always get afraid when im home alone at nite too.during the daytime its ok because i have my children, but when they go to bed and if my husband is working late i dont like it.because then i start hearing all different noises and i get worried.so i just go on the computer and try not to think about it till my husband gets home or i call my friends or family and stay on the phone for awhile just to ease my mind.i do live in a safe place but now adays you never know things can happen any where.so i try to be very causious and just wait till he gets home.

me too but we have to find some way to solve it. when my hubby isn't at home, i will lock the door quite early and make sure everything is ok. i will not let others know i'm staying at home by myself. it is said that when you feel scared, that's because you are scaring yourself. i often use that to comfort myself.

yes i usually am. i always hear strange voices 8which are absolutely normal when somebody else is in the house) and let my imagination do it's stuff. because of that i often sleep in the living room, i turn on the tv, set it up on a timer and fall asleep somewhere in beet wen of a movie.

I'm scared too if i am a lone at home. And i have 3 cats at home and they are making noises like opening the doors or dropping stuffs from table and these noises makes me more and more scared.

Hi rinaaus! I'm not that scared when I'm left alone, except during times when there's black out. LOL... I am more afraid than dark than staying home alone. Hmmmm... I suggest that you make things when you are at home: like learning a new skill, cooking, perhaps. :) Take care always and God bless! (",)
