Some mothers go overboard with their daughters putting them in pageant for a living. Like they are living their dreams through their daughter. I wouldn't mind putting my daughter in 1 or 2 pageants but no more then that and if she wanted to do more later in life I would support her. Do you think you could go as crazy as they do with their daughters in pageants?

I beleive your way is the best, let them find out what it takes to win these pageants and see if they can enjoy them or if they become work and they wish to quit.
A lot of the problem,as you said,is the mom's wish for her girls to be better than they were able to be.
but a lot more,is the money that can be made if the girls are winners.Models make a very good living, but their lifespan as models can be very short as well,so make the most while you can.
My feeling is,let the kids be kids, but show them the way to happyness in the workforce as well.
