Can you tell when you are ovulating, or have ovulated?

Ever since I read 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility' before I got pregnant with my son, I'm now able to tell when I'm ovulating, or have ovulated. I also track my cycles on fertilityfriend.com, and that helps too. I'm just curious to know if anyone else tracks their cycles and are in 'tune' with their bodies. Normally when I ovulate I feel a little cramping, and all of the other ovulation signs that go with it. I have a lot easier time noticing when I'm ovulating from the right side, then from the left. Thanks to anyone who shares with me :)

Another really good way to tell is by your cervical fluid... when you are fertile or ovulating (depends on the person) it becomes like the consistency of egg whites.. really slimy and nasty! The problem here for some women though is that can start to happen after your best chances for trying to get pregnant have already past. You can also know when you are fertile and when you are ovulating with the OV Watch. My cousin used this after trying for a few months and she got pregnant the second month she used the watch. She has since loaned the watch to me and I used it for the first time this month. Almost 100% sure I'm not pregnant this time but we'll see how things go in the future. I am also going to order one of those at home sperm tests for my husband since he is older then me.

Thank you very much! Well, it is a full moon and looks like I'm getting my period in the morning (had a little brown spotting today). I'm going to call the company that makes the watch and see if I can get them to overnight the sensor to me or I won't be able to use it this cycle. :(

Man, I was hoping for you! Was it implantation spotting, or did you end up with your period? Good luck this next cycle!

Oh yeah, I'm a firm believer on the CM too LOL. I never heard of the OV watch-- it might be something I look into for my next pregnancy! Good luck to you on this cycle. I'll be praying for baby dust for you :) I hope I see a "I'm pregnant" post form you on Mylot!

Are you keeping track of your periods on fertility friend, or just by memory? I'm just curious which method you are using. I've never bled during ovulation, that would sure be a sign for me if I did. Sometimes I wish my body told me for sure when I was. LOL! Thanks for sharing :)

i actually just keep track of my periods on mymonthlycycles.com its a nice site, and free. im not 100% positive that the bleeding if from ovulations, but ive had it the last 2 months, and the first time was 12days after my period, and the second time was 13days after my period, so my guess is thats what it was.

I have never heard of mymonthlycycles before. I might check it out. Fertilityfriend.com is also a free site, but they do have an upgrade that you can purchase. I'd like to compare the 2 sites and see which one is better. I've been using fertilityfriend for so long, that I'd probalby never give it up-- but atleast i'd have another site to compare with. Thanks!

http://www.yourdays.com/ This site is very easy to use. Also read the book taking charge of your fertility. It helps you to realize when you are ovulating by what your body is doing. It also explains cycling.

I get more emotional around the time I ovulate. :P Like you, I also use fertilityfriend.com to keep track of my cycles. It makes it a lot easier than using a regular old calendar, that's for sure! LOL

Agree! When I'm trying to get pregnant, I do the whole temping thing-- but lately I've just been sure to mark my period days on there so I can keep track of cycle length and symptoms. I've been doing it religiously for over 2 years now, and prior to that was using it but had took a break for some months. Thanks for sharing!

I never felt it before I started taking clomid. I didn't ovulate correctly. Now I can tell when I ovulate or not.

I'm also a clomid girl! I took clomid to have my son, and it really does work. And you are right, I can definitely tell the difference now that I have taken that medicine. Thanks for sharing!

I can also tell when I am ovulating and which side. I loved that book...Taking charge of your fertility. It really made me realize that I wasn't weird or gross but normal and knowing what was happening when was a real eye opener. But to answer your question yes I can tell when I am ovulating.

I love that book too and I swear I should be a sales girl for it because I'm always mentioning it to my female friends (and some male LOL). That book taught me so much and it was an easy read, not boring. I finished it in a few days and was actually excited to read it each night. I'm glad I decided to read it. A friend had mentioned it to me, and I'm glad that she did.

I too read the book and charted after more than a year of trying. I got pregnant the first month, so I don't have anything to compare it to.

I thought that book was great. It really got me in tune to my body. I recommend it to all of my friends that are trying to get pregnant. That is good you got pregnant on the first try, it took us some time to get there. Thanks for sharing!
