My dog likes cat poop!!!

Alright, so, my dog and my kittens are getting along GREAT! However, my dog (He's a miniature pinscher...about 8 lbs.) keeps taking the cat poop out of the litter box!!! I don't know if this is normal or not, but what I do know is that it's a MESS!!! I keep the box clean, and clean it twice a day (i have two kittens) I'm not quiet sure how to get him to not take out the poop. I know it's gross, but this just started happening (i just got the kittens 2 days ago) Does anyone have any advice or input on this, or is my dog just a weirdo? He never ate his own poop, and he doesn't eat the cat poop...he just takes it out of their box. I have a covered box, but he's small enough to fit inside. PLEASE...any type of input or advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Yes, it's so weird, but from what I've read, it's just what they do! LOL...I am trying to keep the box clean and not let him watch me clean it. I'm not quiet sure what I'm going to do, maybe I'll try talking to my vet. Thanks for the input!!! If I figure anything out, I'll let you know.

How funny!! I think I have seen dogs show great interest in cat poop before. I have never had a dog living inside with my cats, so I've never experienced this before. It sounds strange, and funny. What does he do with the poop? Does he just leave it lying around? Has he tried to roll all over it?
