What do you fear/hate the most, Bugs or Snakes?

Hi! Well, I really don't hate bugs or insects, but with some I really don't like them. With the snakes, I really fear them. Although my hubby has a boa constrictor for a pet but I really don't like going near its cage. :)

Hello LightninStrike!:-) Neither Bugs nor Snakes scare me as such but I really find them disgusting and I don't like the feeling of getting close to them. Interestingly, I have caught both biting bugs and snakes with my bare hands. Catching both is tricky and needs some sort of skill. Bugs will turn their back side to touch you from where they usually stink, so their back must be taken care of. Snakes can't usually lift themselves up if you catch them from tail but you need to keep them at a distance. I have had experience with black cobra and vipers. I found Vipers relatively more disgusting and dangerous. They are more furious, quick and responsive as compared to cobras. They are more aggressive too. Cobras would try their best to get away from you unless you make them really defensive. But they are also disgusting, I remember the feeling when I caught one and I was feeling like throwing it the second I caught it. If only I wasn't in danger of retaliation, I would leave it the very next moment.

we don't really have any poisonous bugs or spiders in the UK and only one species of venomous snake (which is rarer than rocking-horses poop!). The only thing I have any problem with is ants. They are just going crazy in our area now that the weather has warmed up a little.

Well, as I'm sure you know, I am not a fan of most bugs, but it is spiders that I cannot handle. I'm sure you remember the allergic reaction on my stomach last summer when I got all of those bites. The reaction I have to the small bites terrifies me as to what my reaction would be to the larger ones. I have been warned to stay away from them as much as possible, I have ended up in the hospital from spider bites. Otherwise, well, bugs are gross, but whatever. I find snakes interesting, but I am scared of them as well. I think it's because they are so different. I avoid them when possible and respect them if not possible. (I am such a chicken....LOL)

S-N-A-K-E-S!!!!!!!!! i cant even watch movies about snakes... im scared and they give me nightmares... i dont know why... i feel that they're too dangerous

Hi, well i dislike both of them but yes they wont bother me if they are around and i dont think i will fret, fume, shriek etc to see them either as they are Gods creations too and why should we be bothered by the or even try to hurt or destroy them i simply make place for them to move away outsdie or sweep them outside my house so that no harm comes to them. Snakes of course ones a little scared of as we dont know much about them, but again if you do animals no harm, they dont bother you too.

I dont mind snakes, but i hate bugs! They are such a pain, always buzzing in your ear and biting you! uuuggghhh!

i would have to say snakes, they scare me something shocking. i stepped on one a few years ago and i ran and ran and when i got back to my house i had no shoes on lol i lost them half way and dropped 2 buckets of scraps for the chooks and dogs. luckily i didnt get bitten, but i live on a farm so theres plenty of snakes. mainly just black or brown ones

Well I kind of dislike both, but at least sneaks look cute:) WOudnl't want either in my home though. What makes insects a bit worse for me is how they appear so quietly and so close to me before I see them... come to think of it snakes too ! Darn :) I don't have problems with snakes here. But when I was in Brazil we killed one right at our door as it was going in - apparently it was not a good one. We also use to have this kind of... hmmm what are they? lizards? no, no lizards but from the same family for sure. They're small and we can find then in the walls or the ceiling and.... they're see trough! Yep transparent, we could see them eating from the inside = gross !!!!! I didn't like them either, but they did eat the mosquitoes:)

Wow this is a big one. I fear snakes. I now live on the country side, and it is a very hot summer now in israel, and you can say that the snakes are having a party. LOl. I can deal with most of the bugs, but to see a snake or todeal with snakes. wow this is too much for me.

Hi there. I think I would fear the snake, for the simple reasons that we dont have them here in new zealand and just not a custom to knowing they're around, or at how poisonous some can be, also probably all the negative movies I watched involving snakes, eg; Anaconda... lol

I fear snakes more. Oddly though, I am not afraid of large tame snakes, like pet Boas, but I am afraid of small ones, even those that are tame.

Awwww. i fear all crawling creatures. I dont say that i dont fear other bugs, I do. The crawling creatures scare me a lot. Cannot even imagine being faced with one.

Neither to be honest. I'm not scared of, nor do I dislike, any living creature - be it animal/bird/fish/insect or whatever. They all have as much right on earth as I do in my opinion, and I tend to leave them alone! The on;y thinkg I am totaly terrified og is thunder and lightening - have a total phobia about storms, - but other than that - I am pretty cool about anything. I'm not a stressed type of person at all:-))

I hate bugs especially when I am riding and they hit my helmet and splatter themselves all over it, and snakes are just creepy little things, they are so scarey, I t=don trust them at all.

Well honey we don't have many snakes here so the only ones I have really been around are usually kept as pets etc and I think they are beautiful animals - but then they haven't been dangerous! lol Bugs and spiders I am not really scared of but I don't reall like them so I would have to say bugs! xxx

I hate both...snakes a little more though I think. I will not kill bugs though lol I make my honey do it. I wont even go near snakes unless they are in a container of some sort.

I am not really afraid of snakes as I live in what used to be a rural area. Snakes, though not overrunning the area, could be found easy enough. Also when I was about 20 I had a roommate who had a snake. So I have a healthy respect for them. I have never tried to search for or hold a poisonous one, and don't reccomend it for the typical person. Bugs and insects though, I am not one to freak out when I see one, they do tend to unnerve me more then snakes. I hate spiders, and of course bees, wasps and their relatives. I also am not a fan of multi leg crawly creatures.

I really dislike snakes!! Bugs in general are not that big of a deal for me unless it's a spider. spiders are right up there with snakes.
