I seem to be on a roll here..LOL...Last week I had my very first article published by Associated Content, and now I have a short story published there as well. I only just found out, via e-mail as I already had a comment left there.
This is by no means my very first story published as I've had a few published by Minas Tirith-Evening Star, the Journal of The American Tolkien Society and were Lord of the Rings based. Still I'm nonetheless ecstatic about it.
As a by the way, in the story is a cat named Twinkie...you might say it is now a dedication to my ow Twinkie, for the way I described my fictional cat of the same name was exactly like her in many ways...She is now in the land of Bast though...
So I invite you to read the story and see what you think....Though it is a short story it's not exactly short though...LOL
Hope you enjoy

Well i guess you are on a roll...and a good one at that.
Congratulations you deserve it
I loved it, it was over way to fast, but then I like to read.
When do you plan to write another one? Maybe more about Twinkie, the talking cat?
And your pic...I couldn't believe how much
you look like the image I had in my mind when I would read your post.
Keep up the good work and maybe you could put all your short stories in a book of short stories and become a well known author. It could happen.

Thank you. I actually have a few novels in the works too, and one does actually include a talking cat, not Twinkie, but based on my current kitty Pyewacket...This is getting eerie...you're about the third person to say that I look the way people pictured me....

Congratulations Pye. You've certainly been busy just lately. I haven't read your story yet, but I write in Associated Content too, and will be going to check your story out soon. It sounds very promising from your description.
Brightest Blessings, my friend.

Well, I have two sites you can look at, if you'd like to, Pye. The poetry one is on www.freewebs.com/darkwing3, and I have a pagan orientated one which I'm in the process of building, on www.freewebs.com/mysticalmoonbeams.
There... you can read to your heart's content! On Associated Content, I'm under the name of Darkwing too, so you should be able to find that one quite easily.
Brightest Blessings, my friend.

Wow, awesome story. One of the best I have seen on AC in awhile. The Twinkie in your story, reminded me so much of my cat Skyebye. I couldn't help but give a little giggle at Twinkie's antics. Won't say much more so as I am not giving away anything of the story.
Congrats on getting it published. Look forward to reading more.

That's neat, if ever you get it published, I would definately love to read it. I've been trying my hand at writing a series of books for a few years now, don't know if they will ever get done, but well miracles do happen occasionally..lol

That is so funny...I think our kitties know things we don't know....I'm on and off writing a novel with a cat in it too, and appropriately the cat's name is Pyewacket, like my black cat..and as you can guess he's my inspiration for that story as well...

I've only read the first couple of pages so far, but I wanted to make sure to compliment you on the story. It's really good! I'm surprised you haven't been published and your stories haven't been put in paperback. There is such a huge market for this right now, although I'm sure you know that. Congratulations on your success! And I look forward to reading the rest of the story...

Yes, black cat, I'm always careful with what I'm wishing for but ooopppsss...I slipped, I wish to see what you look like and tadaaa...you're all there plastered on the "other site," lol. Can you guess what I look like? "nasty grin"
So now you are into writing articles as well. Why not join hubpages too. I'm a member there and had posted quite a few articles already. Your article was well written and very insightful. Sort of like a reading a short "fantasy" story. You might like to post about a naughty bunny, lol. Keep up the good work. "thumb up"

Congratulations! I thought that you could only publish articles on Associated Content. That makes me feel much better. I am not that good at articles, my tendency to exaggerate and add things that did not happen to make it interesting.

WOW you are rated 4.5 out of 5, that's great! you are a great writer, doesn't matter short story or a novel. If you can write great short story, why can't you write a novel too? If I have time I will learn more about grammar and expand my vocab, maybe someday I can write too
Congrats my friend!

Congratulations, hope you get stories published there and actually it was a quite good one. Good base established and then set with a great and fine tone, my friend. You could have made it more better while compiling the story in the end.
Isn't associated content paying user's to publish their articles on their site? I think that is what I read there and I also heared they pay real good. :)

Short stories and poems they don't pay anything for at the initial time it is published. Though through their performance bonus program she has the chance to make money from it.

I skimmed the first page of it, then promised myself I would read it tommorrow. Land of Bast, I like that description of the afterlife for cats. You have been really busy this month, haven't you? Or perahps I should say still really busy. LOL.

Your story is soo good, pyewacket! I didn't finish it yet(just the first two pages, but I wanted to not have to rush through the rest of it). You really are on a roll lately. I wish I could be still long enough to get something done. I always seem to be doing too many things at once. Keep up the good work and I will finish your story tomorrow for sure. Your photo is very nice also. Almost as I pictured you.

Congratulations!!
Not sure if you know this. But, after you have had 3 pieces published on AC, you can then publish things such as short stories and poems that don't get upfront payment without having them reviewed. It makes things go a bit faster for you and for them.
