I had a bouquet of red roses and pink carnations. It was a little bit of color in that drab Marriage Commissioner's (Justice of the Peace) brown office. There might have been some baby's breath, but that was such a long time ago, and besides I am a red rose, pink carnation type of lady.

I had a fan made with red roses weaved through it with baby breaths. This fan was made with fake flowers so that it would last. I also had a small arangement made of carnations in red and white. These flowers I threw for my family and friends. My flower fan is still looking good after over twenty years. I keep it in a nice box with tissue paper around it and a small bag of sache in there too.
It would be nice if my daughter would use these flowers if and when she gets married. The arrangement is very nice.
I had a small wedding and I wore a nice purple street length dress. The dress is still good as well. I wore it when we went to dinner for our first anniversary.

I had white roses and my wedding party had baby blue roses. They were silk flowers. They were good enough for what we needed them for

I had white and royal blue flowers. I made the arrangements myself and did some on trellises, too. I really liked the colors and we found dresses for my bridesmaids, flower girls, and maid of honor that matched the flowers perfectly. That was a long time ago! My sister in law made my ring bearers' pillow, and a really neat satin covered basket for the birdseed bags and she used the same flowers for that, too.

Red, white and blue flowers for my wedding. The person who was supposed to do the flowers called up the night before to tell us she had a family emergency and couldn't do it. So I ran out to the only store open that late at night and bought red, white, and blue fake roses. I got the most realistic ones I could find. I bought some bud vases for the church windows. My in-laws made up the church window vases and my Bride's Maid made the flowers I would hold going down the isle and the buttoneers.
We used those three colors because my husband retired from the US Air Force. He was wearing his blue uniform, I was wearing white and holding red fake roses. This gave us three colors and I loved it.
After the ceremony, I was asked by the deacon what I wanted done with the church flowers. I asked if they were needed anywhere. He told me the elderly in nursing homes with no one needed them. So I told him to take the bud vases to them.

I had yellow and white daisies with babies breath for my bouquet. The florist also made me a wreath for my head with the babies breath and daisies, everybody said it was real cute. (Of course they called me 'Mother Nature' the rest of the day, lol.) I think simple daisies are so pretty, especially surrounded with the babies breath. While I like roses in my garden (that I raise) I've never wanted a wedding bouquet with them in it.

I'll have to admit, PurpleTeddyBear, it WAS a lot of fun. I have one priceless photo of my camera shy Uncle wearing the wreath, cocked on his head, with his finger on his chin with a 'devil made me do it' twinkle in his eye. (He used to do everything to avoid pictures, but my Aunt, his wife, got a huge kick out of him that day lol) It was a riot, not sure but I think almost everyone there had to try it on...got some really good photos, plus it was a riot.

Hi Hun,
When I got married I had purple and white flowers at my wedding. Purple because it is my favourite colour of course, and white because it's a traditional wedding colour. Have a great day!
Luv & Hugzz, PurpleTeddyBear.
