To you just taste what your are cooking, while you are in the process or do you nibble on larger chunks? I try not to eat too much of what I am making but sometimes a little dish of it, just to make sure it's good seems to overtake me! LOL Do you just taste, or nibble too?

Dear jillhill, I do not do the cooking. My wife does. Sometime when my gone to her brother's house I use to cook meal. I used to do nibbling to find out whether I can at least eat it. The problem is that I am not a cook. I knew only basics of cooking of certain food.

Sounds like you gave it a try anyway! So maybe you are a cook!

Hi. Yes, when Im cooking, its habit for me to taste what Im cooking, and then I get my husband to taste as well, to see if we need to add extras, seasoning or salt, thats my way of telling somethings missing... I think its good to taste when your cooking... I wouldnt chomp away and have a good feed while Im cooking though, and dont expect anyone else in my kitchen too either, thats a little rude and definetly different, in my mind...

I think it is important to taste it so it's properly done. Thanks for the response.

I do lots of taste tests while cooking. I have to see if it needs extra seasonings or more time to cook, etc, etc... :)

Well it depends on what I'm cooking, usually if it homemade soup I usually have a bowl gone out of it by the time it's ready to serve, lol. I always nibble on salad veggies or pizza toppings.
