Are you afraid of clowns? / myLot

I have know several people, even grown ups to be afraid of clowns. I am not.. but my cousin who is 24 will not even go in a room if there is a clown picture or someone dressed up as a clown.. We had a B-day party for my nephew and he would not go in the room because they had a clown blowing up ballons in there.

no i'am not afraid of clowns but have heard of people that are.My husbands moms friend doesn't like clowns.

thank you for responding... my cousin made his mom take a picture down because a clown was in it .. i guess it has to do with the make up or something..

I'm not afraid of them either. I've seen a clown once and he pulled me on stage with him....well he wasn't a clown but a Russian acrobat.

I had a friend when I was in girl scouts.. she could not stand clowns, or anything in a costume... we went to an event.. a clown walked behind her and popped at ballon... she started screaming and beating the crap out of the clown.. I felt bad for her, but it was kinda funny to see an 8 yr old beat up a clown.

I've heard of people being scared of clowns too, but I'm not. I think it is a strange thing to be scared of.

they look freaky.. i think it is because of all the make up.. they are made up to look happy... All i can think of is the Steven King Move "Killer Clowns from outer Space" remember when they had to hit them on the nose to kill them.. eeeekkkk

I'm not afraid of clowns but I don't like them. Live clowns just annoy me and avoid them if I can. Stuffed clowns--they freak the heck out of me. I watched Poltergeist when I was a little kid and the scene where they clown pulls the kid under his bed scared me beyond belief. Since then I have hated clowns. But I'm not afraid. I would be tempted to punch one right in the nose if they got too close, though.
