Hello everyone! :) I went to a certain client this afternoon. The owner is a Chinese businessman. By next week, I have to furnish the financial statements of their company and it would have been best if I am fluent in the Chinese language. I could get his interest, and of course, he'll be impressed. :) ------------------ I speak 4 languages: 1. my local dialect 2. our country's national language 3. English; and 4. Chinese - I have studied in a Chinese school for 10 years, but I am not that fluent because I was never able to practice it at home because my parents are not Chinese. I also know a little of Spanish. Just the general ones: like Good morning, See You tomorrow and thank you. *hehe* I want to learn French, German, Japanese and also be fluent in Chinese and Spanish. Learning new skills - such as another language - can add to one's personality growth. It would even boost a person's self-esteem. Hmmm... :) God bless everyone! \(",)_

Hi luohuan1987! :) It is just now that I've known that "hehe" is a smile in Chinese language. Thank you for that information! I had studied in a Chinese school for 10 years (6 years in elementary and 4 years in high school). But I wasn't really that fluent because I was never able to practice the language that much. I just know that basics like "ni hao ma?", "sye sye", "wo ay ni", "di chia lo?", "chay chian"... and etc. (",) Take care always and God bless! =)

Wow... I am jealous of you... I have always wanted to learn a new language but haven't been able to. Up to now I only know two languages and I think I am good in both. However I only speak my mother tongue language at home. Practically my English is much better when I write compared to speaking. Hm... I want to learn Chinese if I have the time. Maybe I'll find time one day, not now of course because I have no time at all. Anyway, congratulations on your excellent achievement, I am proud of you and wish to be like you. You inspire me. Thanks!

Namaste! :) That's the only word I know in India. *hehe* I read that one in Readers Digest years and years and years ago. (",) I forgot exactly when. LOL It's quite an irony that you want to learn Korean language. I got lots of friends who teach English to Koreans who go here in out country to learn about the E language. I want to learn Korean, too. And also, how they write Korean characters. :)

As far as japanese, i watch a lot of manga, so I think I can recognize some of their words. Its really fun to take up another language, isnt it?

I speak English (obviously) and have picked up Urdu from my parents. I did many years of French and German (and latin, but I don't think that counts as no-one really uses it afaik) at school and am now learning Persian, Scottish Gaelic and Irish as well. I want to learn Greek (modern) at some point too.

I speak English, as it is my native language. I have also studied Spanish and German, but I don't use them often, so I'm not a fluent speaker. I do enjoy both of those languages, though, and have travelled to native German-speaking and Spanish-speaking countries and have used those languages to travel. it's surprising how much easier you pick up a language when you are immersed in it!

Hi, wow that is surely a large number of languages that you have mastered, and as compared to that I can speak just 2 or 3 languages at the most. I can speak English, hindi and punjabi fluently and can understand only another 1-2 indian languages. And i have somehow never tried to learn or know any other language, but after reading your review, the curosity surely does arise that maybe we too can learn so many of them !
