collecting cook books

I get most of my recipes off the internet. I have about 10 cookbooks and use them sporadically. All of them were either gifts or purchased used. I occasionally check cookbooks out of the library too.

Hi, I love cooking. Cooking is an art. I enjoy it because it releases all my stress. Actually my wife has a collection of great recipes. she usually collects all good recipes from weekly magazines that we get here with our newspapers. The recipes are really good and she has lots of them. They are with pictures of the dish. We haven't got enought time to give it a try. Also, I have a recipe book from the Indian Master Chef 'Sanjeev Kapoor'. He is really a genius in this. Indeed a great collection I must say.

I collect cookbooks. My husband laughs because I really don't cook that often. It's like um.... reading material to me I guess. I'm always looking for that elusive recipe that everyone loves, lol.

I'm with you...I must have at least 30 and many store on my computer,lol. I love ready cookbooks. I have a few from my mother-in-law and mother when they first got married. I always ask for cookbooks as a christmas gift. And your right the style and ingredients have changed so much in tha last 50 years it's neat to have a record of that.

I have quite a collection of cookbooks and recipes too. I love to get them out and look at them and I will occasionally try a new recipe. I am trying some new chicken tonight as I am not sure if we will like it and if not, we can go grab some McDonalds or something.

my wife only have five(5)...but now she just refer to the internet for her favorite cooking; having by download or copy & paste. She said by doing that way can save money.......I gave her my big smiling....she ask me, WHY?...I said....save my money......!!!!! than she laugh at me...
