Can you believe that Pizza Hut raised their prices again?

Yesterday we were hungry for pizza and decided to splurge a little on a treat the entire family enjoys. And, considering that I didn't feel like cooking anyway, we decided that Pizza Hut would be the perfect choice. It had been awhile since we ordered pizza online, so I guess I should have expected some changes. But, I wasn't prepared for this one.
Turns out Pizza Hut had raised their prices by $1.00 per pizza. I know that doesn't sound like a big price increase, but for some reason they also increased their delivery charge as well. I guess they are just making up for the cost of other cheap items on their menu. Needless to say, we only got two medium pizzas for twenty dollars. And, normally, that buys two medium pizzas and breadsticks or Cola. What a pain! Well, I guess we won't be having pizza as often.
Has the Pizza Hut in your area increased it's prices recently? Will you be ordering less pizza from them as a result?

I thought so. We did order pizzas last week and I pretty much ordered what I usually order with one extra thing and it was a lot more than the normal price. I did have to check to make sure I didn't double order anything, but yes i found it to be a little bit more than the norm.

I thought they were doing that! They went up on all my favorites too. Recently, our local pizza hut got some new Italian style dishes that are way cheap, like $10.99 for a big pan of Italian style dinner plus five bread sticks. That is cheap! And, it lasts two days with only two people eating dinner. So, I think they are raising prices on everything else to cover the difference. Those free breadsticks are normally $2.99 for four. Maybe they are taking a loss on that product but making it up elsewhere. I guess that's just smart business practices.

My husband is big on rechecking their figures. We had ordered a couple of weeks ago and used a coupon. They gave out the total and we hung up to wait for the delivery. Well, hubby got out the calculator and then called them back. They changed the price 3 times before he was satisfied. I think they stick in little mystery charges and know that most people don't pay attention. It should be just the price, tax, and the delivery charge, but it was several dollars higher until he called them on it.

All of the pizza places in our area have raised their prices within the last month. This is because the cost of goods is going up, so they had to raise the prices. I always thought that pizza hut was expensive anyways, so with the increase in price I won't be ordering there too often. Those were the days when $20 bought you a good meal at pizza hut!

I will remember these days fondly when in five years it takes $30 or more daily just to feed three people. Time to get out mama's crockpot and try some home cooking!

I don't think our price for Pizza Hut has gone up recently. We ordered some a couple weeks ago while we were moving, and the price was still the same then as it always was.
We probably won't be ordering Pizza Hut much anymore, though. Now we've moved and they don't deliver here. We actually prefer the way pizza tastes from Little Caesar's, plus it's cheaper. So since we have to drive into town to get the pizza ourselves now, we probably won't do Pizza Hut very often.

I haven't had to pay for pizza ordered at pizza hut often. I can also easily take a quick drive to pizza hut as it's barely a mile from my house and I'd rather go there myself than have to worry about delivery charges and/or tip. Pizza Hut is my personal favorite and even if it was $10 more than any other pizza place, I'd buy it because it's the best.

Wow. That is a lot. We don't eat at Pizza Hut very often as my husband does not like it very much. I had no idea they raised their prices. I can't believe they did. I thought their prices were very high to begin with.
We will get pizza from Sam's Club or Black Jack. Both are much, much cheaper than most, and I think they're better too.

I am nt aware of price increses. For I don't eat pizza that often. Usually I eat pizza only when we eat out with my family & friends. And it is not on the regular basis. Sometimes, we go out but we don't eat pizza. Only if one among us likes it.

We got dinner from Pizza Hut last night too. We got a couple of the Pizones. I don't know if the price of the pizzas have gone up or not. I did notice that when I called in the order I was connected to an order line somewhere else rather than the local Pizza Hut. I was surprised they were doing that now.

Food at the grocery stores and all restaurants is going to increase. With gas prices up and the price of raw materials rising, it is inevitable. The only good that might come out of this for me is that finally, after trying every diet on the market, I might lose weight! If you can't afford food, then you can't eat food! I haven't been to our Pizza Hut in ages (secondary to dieting) but I imagine it is up too. I have noticed a decrease in the number of cars in their lot on busy Fri/Sat nights.

It's been a while since I have ordered pizza from Pizza Hut. So I really cannot compare. But I did notice when Mister Donut increased the price of their donuts. And Mc Donalds also had a slight price increase. Too bad! I used to have doughnuts regularly but now I consider it a luxury, LOL! I don't order that much at Mc Donald's too because of the price.

I wonder if their online prices are the same as in the store. They wouldn't necessarily have to go by the menu prices because no one would see them. I've never ordered online. And we haven't had one delivered recently, so I don't know if our delivery charge has gone up or not. Maybe that is because of higher gas prices. I noticed the last time we were there that our Pizza Hut has new menus. When I worked in a restaurant, new menus usually meant at least some of the prices had increased. An increase of $1.00 a pizza is quite a bit.

really maybe because all the ingredients for making pizza are very high now that's why they increase it. Anyway i love their pizza too:) happy posting my friend:)

No, the Pizza Huts in my city didn't rise the prices, the competition is too huge (restaurants are very close together). The material inside each pizza is reduced, though. Evil.

I love pizza...I think it is really unfair for them to increase their price...I think that we have the same reason why my mom doesn't order pizza anymore that often

Hi, well which side of the world we live, pizzas are more costlier than your place, but yes the prices of anything if you look around never seem to lessen down, they only just keep rising and rishing all the time. and its very sad why no measures are takn to keep things in control for the common man. Anyway i wonder if you can try out some alternative things in place of pizzas now, as a tis they hardly have any nutritious value to them.
