It feels good to clean out your closet! I just decided to get rid of a ton of old clothes that I never wear. I found a lot of things I can sell on Ebay too so I am excited for hopefully making some extra money. I threw away so many old pairs of underwear. Feels good.
Do you enjoy cleaning? Have you done any cleaning like this recently? I love it.

sugarfloss, why won't he let you sell them? I give away anything I don't think I can sell (which is a lot because most of my clothes have seen a lot of wear) but I am selling a few things now. I don't get much for them, though.

So I gave them to people who could wear them..Next time i am hoping to be able to get a debit card so I can start selling on ebay..Selliing in lots is a great idea it works well.

I understand. I only list things I think will sell and I plan to do it in 'lots' which tend to sell better too. I am donating a bunch of stuff that I know won't sell to Goodwill, too.

I just recently cleaned out my closet for the first time in two years and I got rid of four black garbage bags full of clothes I couldn't wear anymore or didn't like. Some still had tags still on them, and since I didn't wear them much some looked brand new. I wish I could sell on ebay I would have but I haven't a debit or credit card to be able to do so..Well good luck in selling your stuff. I recently just checked a place out last night called www.blujay.com that you might be able to sell some of your items in and make a profit it is free to list products I think I read. I do not enjoy cleaning to much, but I like to have a clean home. So I clean it just to have a clean home..Well, Happy ebaying..happy selling.Good luck.

I try to get rid of stuff every so often. I am one of those people who say if I have not used it in over a year get rid of it. Of course I am married to a man who never throws away anything!. So there is a clash. He finally got rid of some stuff this last time we moved. We really didnot have a choice because we have a lot less room. But we still have a storage building with stuff in it that could be thrown away but somebody wont do it!

Yes, about 3 months ago I did go through my closet and got rid of some things, but it seems to have multiplied again and I didn't buy anything new. I guess I just have to be more ruthless in what I take out the next time.
This weekend I had a garage sale to get rid of stuff I DIDN'T sell on eBay. What a dissappointment. I don't get enough traffic where I live.
I refused to bring all that stuff back into the house so the things that I could pack into boxes I did and stacked them neatly on my enclosed porch. Since I was so tired I didn't put things back in a proper place so now I'll have to organize them this week. Not looking forward to that!! :-)

I haven't cleaned out my closest for a very long time. I know I should. There are quite a few old skirts & tops that are very old fashioned, & I know I will never wear again. Plus, in my undies draw. there is a lot of old stuff.
I went through my step sons closet a couple of weeks ago, & gave a few clothes to the Salvos.
I have gone through my daughters closet about 6 months go.
I would not go through my husbands closet, as he gets ideas that he will still mwear his very old & old fashioned clothes again.
I can imagine the good feeling you had when you cleaned everything uip. Selling on Ebay is a good idea.

OK – I hate the actual hoeing out process—cleaning and all- but I love it when it’s done- and I can move around in the closest again- that is always a plus! And extra money on e-bay! Super! I just hoed out a bit for a big yard sale we were having- still have more to go!

I know I just made like 60 bucks on Ebay and I am super happy lol. I love garage sales SO MUCH but I live in an apartment now so I can't have them. I always did pretty well with them. Good luck with yours!

I don't buy many new clothes, because I'm not a typical woman and I don't like shopping;)
So I wear clothes which are in my closet... in general.
Of course sometimes I have some clothes that I don't wear, from time to time I'm trying to get rid of it. I try to find new owner for them hehe or I cut them into pieces and give them to my rat as nice sleeping place.
I also sell them on internet auctions, but really rarelly.
I don't like cleaning very much, because I know many other more interesting activities, reading books for exapmle;)

I really do need to do this. My closet is over run with clothing on hangers and sitting on my dresser and so on. I have so many clothes that are in good shape but I don't want to get rid of them, yet they don't fit me. I did do my husbands side of the closet so I am proud of that. Of course he is on deployment so he can't mess it up right now hahaha! That is a good idea to sell the clothes on E-bay, but I normally take them to a local consignment shop, where I can either exchange them for clothing in the store or they give me a check at the end of the month.

That sounds like a good idea. I've never heard about consignment shops. There is a store by my hometown where they buy used junior's clothes and I have sold there a couple times, but they only take designer labels and they have to be from the past 2 seasons I think. They don't pay very well.

I haven't cleaned out my closet for a while, but I keep thinking that I need to do so. We moved a couple of months ago, so I did get rid of a lot of clothes before we moved, but since we got here, I am still trying to figure out what clothes is going to be the most useful for me to keep, and what clothes is really impractical here. I'm thinking a lot of my tank tops should probably go, since it's only really hot here about one week out of the year!

I try to clean out my closet every six months and anything I find that is damaged or that I no longer wear I give away or donate.

I cleaned out my sons closet not that long ago. I clean out ours on a regular basis. You should see the pile I have to bring to the goodwill!

Oh I know. I just cleaned out my youngest closet. Getting all of her good clothes that she can wear for school ready to go. One good thing with her I don't have to do any major clothes shopping for her. Maybe undies and socks. Now with my oldest is a whole different story. I have to get her some blouses, she's already out growned what I got her last spring, ugh. Normally, I put all the clothes they out grow in a huge bag and hand them down to my nieces.
I need to get in there and do a better job of cleaning out my closet. I recently finally gave up my maternity clothes to a neighbor that recently found out that she's pregnant. I do wish my husband would go through his closet. His looks like a sports store with all the sports jerseys hanging up.

I can't believe this. I was just about to go clean out my closets after a break here. My friend just gave me an address for where to donate clothes, so I'm going to go see what I don't need anymore.
I love to clean, I'm always sorting things out and organizing things. It makes me feel better to have things clean and organized.

I love going through my things and getting rid of old stuff. Especially since a good deal of it can be sold on ebay, which is nice. I probably go through my closet and everything in storage about twice a year to find stuff that I don't need or use anymore.
