MyLot ranking on Alexa Traffic Ranking.

Yeah, I would agree with you that mylot isn't that popular anymore and I think it has something to do with the payment. They are not paying that good anymore so people are going to go elsewhere to get pay really good.

woder why we we have so many new members are these the right nos. of members we have or are they made up?

Hello polachicago!:-) I actually thought that mylot active members could be around 10,000 but it seems that they are even less than that. There can be many factors for this trend. When I started here in march, I saw many posts appearing where people expressed their dissatisfaction over mylot services. It appears that many people left mylot along the way. It seems to be quite the case as many of many initial friends here have left since then. I wonder if others have noticed this too. I also saw a lot of dissatisfaction which started nearly two months ago when there waere a lot of members being banned and a lot of posts were being deleted apparently without any proper reason. This has also been a factor of people leaving mylot and hence decreased traffic. There is a general rule which is, if a person is satisfied with a service it attracts more people to that and if one is dissatisfied, he/she will dissuade others too who might have wanted to join. There are a lot of members on here who have multiple accounts or who made new accounts for different reasons, so while they appear to add to overall population, they do not appear as distinct traffic since IP address remains the same. Low pay rate can be an additional factor in decreased activity and traffic on mylot.

I think given the time of year. The popularity might be down due to summer. I think the numbers will be back up once the season changes. I know I prefer to stay in on cold days and surf the web. When summer is here, kids are out of school and families travel. My career takes me outside on hot days and not so much cold ones. So I do believe this site will pick up again!

It does seem to be going down. I wonder why. I guess it is because the payrate is going down and some new members who do not discuss things.

I always take Alexa rankings with a grain, oh well no, with lots of salt. The ranking is only based on people who have chosen to install the Alexa tool bar. As for mylot, I don't know if it is on the decline. Many new members have joined. Though, many members who were very active when I joined just vanished. So, I guess that very few people stay active for long time on this web site.
