Ok today I was hanging out with my family and noticed my cousins gf's high school graduation tassel. I looked at it and it said 2002, at that point I felt really freaking old. I started thinking about where I was in 2002 and what I was doing with my life. At that time I was pregnant and about to give birth to my second child. Then it got me thinking even more at the fact now that I have a child who is in first grade. I mean come on I had a hard enough time dealing with the thought that I had a kindergardener last year now she's in first grade. Its like one day I was 18 and then poof I blink and I've missed the last 10 years. I guess it doesn't really help that my spouse is 5 yrs younger than me so he constantly makes me feel old. Does anyone else feel that time has gotten away from them somehow?

Oh yeah! My baby is going into 3rd grade this year. That blows my mind. I have no idea where the time has gone. But it's funny you mentioned graduation. I was asked the other day when did I graduate, I started to say "oh about 10 years ago" then I caught my self, lol it's been 18 years ago!! Oh schnapp!

LOL, what is really funny is I still remember what it was like in high school, hell I still remember juinor high. I still talk to my very first boy friend ever. I dated him when I was 12. The fact that I have known someone that long is tripping me out. The biggest kicker of it all is last night before bed we were laying there talking about the next 10 years, at that point I realized in 10 years my daughter will be 16. Yea I am no where close to being able to handle the idea of her ever being a teenager.

Believe me, devilsangel, you won't know the meaning of feeling old until you reach my age, lol. I have raised or helped to raise two generations and am now happy to be dealing with the third. Seriously though, you really are as young as you feel. You have to do the things that keep you young. Don't ever just sit down and quit.

Just wait!! I can't give you my sympathy. My oldest is 30 and my baby is 28. My youngest grandchild is 1. My spouse is 11 years older than me and I still feel over the hill. But I can relate to the feeling. Yesterday I was in high school enjoying the ballgames on Friday nights and looking forward to my date on Saturday night. Somewhere in there I missed about 30 years and for the life of me I can't figure out what happened!! lol

Hahaha! you had a point in there. Hmm... sometimes I feel old when I am with those teenagers who is texting and chatting like the way I used to do when I was at their age... There are certain feeling of loneliness when I know Im old to do some things that I enjoy when I was younger. But thats the way it is...
But I feel young when I saw an old professor who is at her menopausal stage...
I guess she envy me at my age... lols

OMG, devilsangel, wait till you hit 40! You just can't imagine what old feels like until the babies who's diapers you changed start getting ready for college! Have fun with it, remember age is just a number, it's the aching in your butt that tells you how old you really are.

Sometimes it does. I think we all feel like we have aged at times especially when we really see how much time has passed. My ten year high school reunion is approaching, but I have no plans to attend. I just cannot believe I have been out of high school for ten years now.

Yes I have felt this way at times as well and hate the feeling that somehow I have become old and wonder where the time went without me reaizing it . I still feel young inside and still feel the same way but when I look at my teenagers and listen to them talk I realize how time has went by and I am no longer as young as I feel sometimes and it is sad to think that time is going by and we are becoming older but then I sit back and think that if I was still younger I wouldn't have my younger children because they wouldn't be born yet and can't imagine a life without them and then am just grateful that I have so much to be happy about even if it means I am getting older with each passing day :)
