I have to take both of my daughters to the dr next week. One for her 2 year appointment and the other for her 2 month appointment. Does anyone know about how many shots they will get? I know I will have to give them some tylenol. I'll be by myself with both of them. My poor babies.

I'm not sure about the 2 year old but the 2 month old will need 3-5 depending on if they combine any or not. I have my son's immunization record in the diaper bag in the truck. As soon as I get a minute I'll go get and let you know what it says.

I got the card...for a 2 month old (in PA) there are 5 shots listed- Hepatitis B, Hib, DTaP/DTP/DT, IPV, and Pneumococcal Conjugate. If I remember right the first three were combined when my son had them so it was "only" 3 needles.
I don't have any on here that are listed specifically for a 2 year old. There are several for 18 months and then the next age range is 4-6 years.
The next two visits with your youngest (4 months and 6 months) will also have quite a few shots but then if your doctor does it the way mine does, you'll have a break from shots at the 9 month visit and possibly even the 12 month visit...of course that means more at the 15 and 18 month visits but at least then you'll be done for awhile!

Thanks for all the information. My poor babies. I hate to see them getting shots but that wasn't as bad as when my oldest was getting her ears pierced. Now my youngest will soon have to have her ears pierced. I rather do it now when they are young so they don't remember the pain but it breaks my heart. Thanks again

My dr would put it all into two shots and have two nurses give the shots at the same time so it was over fast!

I'm going to ask if they can do that. Thanks for the comment
