Okay, I'm looking for different animes to watch. Normally they say if you like one type, you'll like another type. So I'll list what I've already seen and you can give more anime suggestions. Please include a summary of what the anime is about, it would help me decide. I'm sort of looking for anime with female leads and basically kick butt!
ANIME'S I've Seen:
Naruto
Bleach
Inuyasha
Witch Hunter Robin
Elfen Lied
FLCL
Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi
DN Angel
Trinity Blood
Blood+
Hellsing
Death Note
MAR
Prince of Tennis
Initial D
Eureka 7
Soul Hunter
One Piece
Zatch Bell
Samurai Champloo
parts of Wolf Rain
....I think thats most of them. Thats all I can remember right now. Just finished Elfen Lied and it was pretty good. I know there are a lot with female leads, its just most of the ones I've watched already have male leads kicking butt and I wanna see some girls take charge.
Thanks in advance

Nice list, some good stuff on there. Fate/Stay Night should be somewhat up your alley. If you dig that you may or may not want to check out Tsukihime both of those were eroge designed by type-moon and eventually adapted into (clean) anime. Shakugan no Shana's another one with a chick that puts foot to face on multiple occasions. Claymore is also very very good sort of a mix between Bleach and Berserk except all the fighting type people are blonde haired silver eyed females. Also if you liked Witch Hunter Robin you may like Darker Than Black which is a somewhat similar concept. It doesn't have a female lead though. and I see Trinity Blood and Blood+ in there so perhaps you'll get a kick out of Black Blood Brothers, another vampire show. Sola is in that general category as well but it's, different.

Thanks. Since you know a bit about anime. I saw an AMV a while back. They did put the name of the anime and I lost the link to the amv on youtube, but the anime featured 2 main characters, females, and they fought against each other. another magical fantasy type anime. My husband described it as a mesh between Full Metal Alchemist (because they had some alchemy signs) and MAR because they had these talismans what turned into weapons. From what I remember they went through an age change or they grew from children to teen/adults in a big glow. Don't know if you can give me a guess what that anime is. But i'm checking on all the ones you suggest and they seem pretty interesting. Thanks again.

No prob anime's something I could talk about pretty near all day so I should be thanking you really. ;p That other show... could be a lot of things. First things I think of are Nanoha but that doesn't involve an age change but if the amv included clips from StrikerS they're older than that than in the first two seasons... Maybe if I'd seen MAR or had more to go on I could help you a bit more. Either way all three seasons of Nanoha are really good.
Most magical girls defeat their enemies with the power of friendship, Nanoha uses superior firepower, and that she has in abundance.

Wow, that'sa lotta anime to watch. I'm fairly new to watching anime, but one that i'm watching now is Rurouni Kenshin. I watched bleach and full metal alchemist and love both. Rurouni Kenhin's whole plot is a little "Here and There" until it comes down to big plot, and it's good. Also a very funny anime. Anyways, if you go to something like www.tv~links.com you'll find all the anime in the world to watch :D (though a lot of them aren't working or their just 20-30 episodes, the working ones are great) Also Rurouni Kenshin is 3 seasons with a total of 96 episodes. I think it's been pulled and isn't being made anymore, sadly. Anyways, enjoy, hope you like it :D

hmm..blood+ was a good one you mentioned with a female lead...i liked the opera!, and the chello(spelling error) playing, plus all the gore bloody monstrous havok throught the series!
but...for reccomendations?
i dunno..
i dont reccomment ikkitousen
the whole concept of the show was not very well thought out. i actually think its idiotic.
cowboy bebop is a little more of a dense anime which i love because the additions of music by Yoko Kanno.
and of course trigun because who doesnt like a humanoid typhoon who ages slower than anyone else and has the spare time to become one of the best gunslingers on a desert planet?
these dont have women leads but their still good shows that i enjoy watching over n over again
plus almost every anime movie has a woman lead
like......hate to say it...howls moving castle...
poorly portrayed in america but ya know...
its always pretty good to see what famous american actors can do with a dailoge from another country.
