No Response In Your Discussions.. How does it feel?

personally i would take it in a positive manner and see it as a sign for more improvement. It would be like a polite way of people saying that I need to make more engaging discussions for people to read. In this aspect either people do reply or not the next time around you still gained something... which maybe more valuable than monetary returns

It also disappoint me when I got no responses to my discussions but I don't give up posting new ones. Maybe the topic I chose was not interesting enough to get responses. This time I would have to think of some other topics to catch the attention of other members. I really admire those people who came up with very good topics here. I also wish I can erase my topics without responses.

Funny, no? Ur topic about not getting any responses got some serious traffic :) That's life. Well, I don think u shud give up.Good things take time to happen...i mean, c'mon...look at the brighter side...a rating of above 500! Some sureshot ways to grab attention are, like....respond to other peoples' discussion regularly...u will get noticed. Also, always comment on the responses u get...that's a good method too. U can also mention ur topic in ur responses to other peoples' questions...but in an..err....aesthetic way :) Good Luck!

I have had many discussions to which I got no replies. For some of them I have been disappointed because I thought there would be some interest in them. Sometimes it seems like the ones that are the most trivial get more responses than the more serious ones. On some I understand that there would few if any responses because they are in interests that have few members and even fewer that are active. It is a delima to come up with discussions that have a wide interest.

i have some disscussions without response ,too.don't be disappointed.try to make more friends on mylot. if some of them see your discussions,and they are interested in the discussions,i think they will respond it.try your best to make the discussions interesting.make sure that,when people see your discussions ,they know what could they repond.if you have your responses,they will have theirs.

Hi heartsick! I can totally understand your sentiments. I, too, have discussions that have no responses. Yes, I felt disappointed. But I just think that I had tagged in different tags, that's why it wasn't seen by my friends and other myLot users. I still enjoy my stay here in myLot. I love to share my views and at the same time, know others views. :) I hope you'll still continue to be here in myLot even if some discussions ave no responses. Take care and God bless! \(",)_

If it helps, I still have them from time to time. Don't let it get to you. Yes it kind of leaves you feeling unloved, at least for me it does. But give it sometime, make some friends and watch what you are posting under as well. The interests you are posting under can hide your posts. If it's one not many people look at, that will cause your posts to get lost.

When i get no responses in my discussion i don't worry about it as to me it just means noone is interested in that topic. So i have to try and think of something else that is more interesting.

Yea, I think most, if not all, people would have experienced this at one point or another. This is especially true and evident when someone has just joined myLot as a newbie. When you are new, you are "unknown", so to speak and people don't talk to strangers as enthusiastically as they do friends. :P So don't feel bad. Just keep on making friends and posting interesting discussions. One day, you will get there - if this "there" is what you wish. Enjoy. =)

when my discussions fail to get any response, i feel upset. does it mean my discussion is so silly that others don't think it worth discussing.

Well this discussion of yours is getting a lot of comments. It must be because we can all relate? I have learned that relating to others in a discussion title is a big part of getting people to read what I write. Do you think about things like that when you are preparing a discussion for myLot? When preparing your conversation ask yourself if this will interest others? It might not work for you all the time but I am sure it will most of the time. I wish you the best, I know things aren't as easy as they look sometimes. At least that is what I have found for myself.

I feel dissapointed when there is no response to my discussion. However, there are many non-responsive discussion out there, so it's just normal.

of course we would feel that way since we posted something which are of our interest. But we can't forced them to response maybe because they don't feel like responding because that is of less interest to them.Let's just hope that whatever discussion we're posting, it will have a lot of responses and will create eagerness to readers to response.Goodluck to all of us.

I really do not worry about it a whole lot. If people respond to my discussions, then that is great. If not, I will move on.

It doesn't bother me too much if no-one reads them, I know that what interests me, does not seem to mean much to most other people, even most of my friends don't bother too much to read any discussions that I start, and as most of my friends who did read them have now gone over to Yewie, then I can't see me getting many responses at all anymore.

I find it discouraging if I don't get any response to a discussion--but then I just put it down to the fact that many people are not as interesting as I am!!lol!!! Seriously, though, I think I must march to the beat of a different drummer, because I don't get many responses to most of my discussions. I have a few loyal friends who keep me from getting zilch! It pays to have friends! On that same vein, sometimes I have trouble finding discussions that interest me enought to want to respond. Like anything else in life, though, things change. I don't know if it is my mood or what is currently happening on myLot, but I imagine "this too will pass."

Yes, me too. I have 3 that had no response. I shy away from mylot for a couple of days too, but I come back because I learn so much from reading other discussions that I found interesting, such as writing, gardening, crafts, and movies.

In my discussions got no responses,I may feel disappointed.But I have never meet this problem.Though each of my discussion get responses but to be honest,the number of responses are not very big.I have never thought of leaving Mylot.com coz there are still friends here so I won't leave for non reponses,never.

i have only very few discussions that doesn't have responses, and i don't get discouraged to those discussions i posted without responses cause i can still post new discussions anytime, it just makes it more challenging for me to post new and interesting topics for all the members here in mylot. I am happy though, that i get more responses than i thought. If you want to have more responses in your discussions try to post good and interesting topics and give more infos and ideas about the topic, that will help you increase your rating too here in mylot.
