I met a MyLot Friend

It was great meeting her and seeing what a kind and loving person she is. I lived in her country for 2 years when I was a teenager, so we had common ground to start with. It was quite an experience, and one I will never forget, and it's all thanks to myLot!

Yeah, it's a bit like having a penpal and eventually getting to meet each other! I know what you mean about wanting to take your husband with you if you were meeting up with someone from here. You don't know what to expect, do you? My hubby couldn't come with me that day, so I had no option but to go on my own. I'm glad I did, because we arranged to meet in a public place, and it all turned out great.

What a shame you never managed to meet up. Well, all I can say is, if the opportunity presents itself again sunshinecup, you should take it, because the meeting with my friend is something I will never forget. We both felt like we had known each other for ages and we got on really well even though she is a lot younger than me. She has invited me to stay with her when I visit her country in the future, which I will do for sure.

I was a little apprehensive about meeting her because I am quite a shy person, but I needn't have worried, because I discovered that she is a lovely person and very easy to talk to. Yes, it was pretty cool! We didn't feel like strangers when we actually did meet face to face. When we answer each others discussions here, we build up a relationship with certain ones, and that is what happened with me and my friend. Thanks for your response.

We both felt like we had known each other for years! You are very lucky to have met up with 10 of your online friends, that is quite an accomplishment. Were some from overseas? You are right - I think sometimes we tell our online friends a lot more than we do our friends who we see every day.

If you get the opportunity to meet someone from here, then you should go for it lingli; I'm so glad I did. There are so many nice people out there, we just have to take the barriers down and get to know them. I am shy by nature, and surprised myself when I arranged the meeting with my friend. It was wonderful I have to say that I had a great time one of them stayed with me for a week and she has been back since then and will be coming in October again so I am looking forward to that as she is a lovely Person and the other one lives not so far from me

I am so glad I plucked up the courage to meet this friend because we got on really well even though she is a lot younger than me. MyLot is a very good place to meet people and build up friendships and that is exactly what happened to me. I got to know my friend through her discussions, and then she said she was coming to my country for a holiday, so I said we should meet up - especially when she told me she was coming to the Gold Coast - the very place I live! I will never forget the experience and now we are firm friends.

Yes, I've been with MyLot a very long time, although I don't use it as much as I did, although I still love it! It's a great place to meet some interesting people and learn new things. I pop in now and again when I have the time.

Matlgal, it is me that met up with Abbey. Oh my, she is such a lovely lady. I was telling my niece that I will be meeting my internet friend in Goldcoast and she is much older than me. My niece was so surprised on seeing Abbey that she doesnt believe Abbey's age. Seriously Abbey look so much younger. Keep it up, stay young and cool Abbey. We really had very little time to spend but I am truly glad and thankful that Abbey made an effort to meet us at our apartment. She also did drive me to Post Office and to the Movie World and as what she said, we never stop talking to each other. My only regrets is that I did not have a chance to give her a massage due to time constraint. Indeed, I believe we will be friends for a long time.

Yes, we got on really well but because of her tight schedule, we only had a few hours together, so we never stopped talking! Her sister and her niece were travelling with her, so I met them also; they are all from Singapore.

Hi Robin! It was an amazing experience meeting up with a MyLotter, and one I will never forget. Because we have been exchanging discussions for the last few months, we felt like we knew each other. We never stopped talking! You and I may be able to meet each other, because I have some friends who live in the same town as you, and they want us to visit them next year. They are coming to my country in November and staying with us for 2 weeks. I met them on the net almost three years ago, and this will be the second time we have met in person; they are now our dearest friends. What do you think?

Since writing that discussion, I have since met another lady in person that I have been in touch with online for the past 2 years. She lives in my country and in the same state, so it wasn't too hard for us to meet up! In fact, I am going to visit her next week - our second meeting. We are now firm friends.
