BlogCatalog is a fantastic blogging community that helps its member and establishes relationships between fabulous blogger! Its a blog directory and you can have all your blogs listed there besides it makes makes it easier to be found and can sure drive more traffic to your blog.
If you are not a member yet you should definitely check it out www.blogcatalog.com and join hundreds of bloggers in the forums!

Blogcatalog previously accepted my blog and i wash pretty happy for that fact but recently i had done some changes and they are declining my entry,it seems like the people who are reviewing are a bunch of people that does not really know what to expect since i am confessed why they are declining it, i guess i got to check with the admin.

I have some blogs there too and it does make a diffenrece when you have them entered in blog directories. I also ping my blogs with technorati almost daily which helps our blogs to get consistent readers. I am going now to learn about rss feeds that is my next thing and I have found a good place to buy quality traffic that will help booost my blog's rankings. Good luck my friend. if u hv a blog and u want to get somewhere with it RSS feeds are mandatory!! u hv to hv one!! i would suggest feedburner for ur RSS syndication, its the best u can use with a wide variety of options to subscribe by email, readers...
as for buying traffic, ill give u my honest opinion about that, i dont think that can actually work cause then u would hv more visitors right but once u stop paying for them to come less than 1% will actually come back!! but of course its ur own choice, just think about it! better ways to increase regular loyal readers is to write interesting good content on ur blog and submitting ur posts to communities like digg!!

Don't get down on blogcataloge it is a great networking site. I have met two of my very best friends through them. I can see why they won't accept commercial looking blogs. I would get sick and tired of looking at them! I think the ones that have PayperPost are fine. But if you are a big commercial...ahhh no. Reformat it and resubmit...you never know!

i couldnt agree more, Blogcatalog was the best ice breaker for me when i started blogging and it was a great source of knowledge where i learned a lot about blogging!
plus i made friend :D, friends that r just as important as real life friends just on another level if u know what i mean! :D

Ya...that is what is really cool about blog catalog it gets you talking to people about what you love the most blogging. And my friends I have met along the way are cool too!!

I agree with you. I didn't know about Blogcatalog before. I just saw it on a list of blog directories. I submitted my blogs to all of those. It's absolutely the only one on that list that made me come back. And now, I regularly log in. They're quite strict with the approval process too. Two of my fairly commercial blogs keep getting rejected. But my themed ones get approved. It also allows you to contact the blog owners. It's great!
