That is a great question, one I suppose we don't really know the answer to but various belief systems could no doubt come up with different answers.
I was raised catholic, so I can only go by what I was taught, and according to the Bible, the only sin God won't forgive is not believing in Him, so if Satan went to God to ask for forgiveness it would indicate that he believed in God enough to show that he would need God's forgiveness so it would mean that yes God would forgive him.

I didn't say that the church taught that, but that it IS in the bible, the bible is what states that the only unforgivable sin is not believing in God,
The catholic church has turned making people think that there are all kinds of sins, that will send them to damnation, into a big business since its creation,

I read some commentary books about Lucifer's downfall and it was very sad to know that Lucifer did repent before he was cast away from heaven. However, God saw in his heart that his repentance was not sincere. He was given many chances but he refused to acknowledge and confess his sins. And when Jesus was crucified on the cross, that was the seal for Satan.
But I believe that if Lucifer did repent with all his heart he would have been forgiven.

Interesting thought-provoking question. We know as believers, we can sin and repent and be forgiven. The one thing we can't take back, is out-and-out turning our back on God and saying No. On the other hand, as long as we are alive, we can still repent. Wasn't satan the angel of light, and the highest ranking archangel? That wasn't enough for him. Not only did Satan jealously want the power that God had, he fostered a movement of angels who followed him in his war against heaven. He refused to worship God and influenced many to turn away from God. Wow...I guess he made his choice and was cast down. We have until we die to make our final choice, I guess. Very interesting...

nope, it is too late for him and his - they've made their choice and they are stuck with it for eternity, they can not turn back - but actually without already having the grace of God they can not even repent - so if they came repenting - it is only another lie, which of course God can neither deceive nor be deceived.

No, I don't believe that God would forgive him, 1)because Satan isn't human. He was an angel. He was the highest most powerful angel actually. He tried to take over and was thrown from the kingdom of Heaven never to return and doomed for Hell. and 2) because Satan is to busy trying to get everyone else to join him than to think about asking God to forgive him. He doesn't have a pure heart anymore and all his plans and thoughts are of nothing but evil...I don't believe God would ever accept his apology because i don't think the apology would be real. God bless
