Man arrested for castrating ex's cat..

Okay, I'm not a big fan of cats, I prefer having a pet dog than a pet cat. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate them at all. They're cute animals, and adorable, it's not just my kind of animal for a pet. But when I've read this article online, I felt so mad of what this guy did to the cat. It's just inhumane.
- A man who was frustrated with his ex-gf took his anger on her cat by castrating it with a box cutter. He was angry at his ex-gf for not coming to his house, so he drugged her cat "Romeo" with human medication and then castrated it with a box cutter. The man was arrested and charged with multiple counts stemming from the incident. The cat was transported to a veterinary hospital and is expected to recover -
What this man did was a horrible thing. Imagine putting his anger on the cat? such sicko! keeps me wonder why people would do such things to animals..the cat didn't do anything to him..grrrr...!

I can see why he's an EX-boyfriend now. That's disgusting. And if someone takes delight in being cruel to animals, it would not take much to start enjoying the pain and suffering of another human being.

the man obviously is sick in the head. such a person could kill someone if they go unnoticed. People remember Virginia Tech.

I have very strong views on animals cruelty, I love animals, they feel pain like we do, they are put on this earth as we are and as far as I am concerned they have the right to live in peace as we would like to, I think anyone who does these sorts of things should be dealt with as if they had done the same thing to a human being, the law is way too lax with people who are cruel to animals, I say lock them away for a long time.

Yeah, the law about cruelty to animals is not very strict & firm at all, maybe that's why people keep on doing this act because they know they'll get away with it. And I'm not even sure if they implement this laws to the guilty ones. Thanks.

I'm not a big fan of dog, but never in my life I abuse it and I will not start. I've heard stories of dog abuse and if only I had the absolute judicial power I would punish these abusers the same way they injured and killed the dogs. I really really hope these abusers will be punished a lot worse and I hope the vets can help the animals recover.

I dont understand what goes through peoples heads when they do acts like this. I am really against animal cruelty and this is something that happens everyday to poor animals and he will probably have a few days in jail and that is it. The world is so twisted with what happens. I am very glad to hear the cat is going to recover poor thing though.

Oh my that just sickens me too..All pets and animals want is love and attention..And for the person to be so cruel to them...I'm happy to hear that the cat will recover and the man has been arrested poor kitty..I have a cat as a pet and we had him fixed the proper way by a vet I've heard of people doing this...Tying stuff to the cat or dog to let it happen on it's own man alive...

I agree I hope that cat will make a full recovery and it's good that man was arrested I hope he receieves a deserving punishment for this..

What he did was inhumane. I have lived and owned farm animals and casteration of some is very necessary but there are humane ways of doing this without using the veternarian.
Many farmers do this on sheep, goats, pigs and yes even cats and or dogs. But they know what they are doing and do so with the least amount of pain and suffering.
Anymore it is just banding, very rarely is a knife used anymore anywhere and it is done to lambs and young not older animals.
The man was very cruel, poor cat I am a big lover of cats. Good thing his girlfriend was not brutalized too.

I have lived in my grandparents farm too, and i've witnessed them castrating animal farms but it was necessarily and of valid reasons. And I don't see anything wrong in doing it as long as it's done in a proper and humane way that will not make the animals suffer. Thanks.

This is a disgusting cowardly act. Here in Minnesota we had a case where a teenager got upset with his girlfriend then he beheaded her dog. I believe her mailed the head via regualr postal service to her house. Sick b*as*ard I say. I think this even made the National News as my brother in Michigan heard about it.

Yes he called the post office and they picked it up & it was prepaid so it went right to the post office then to the girls house. Sickening.

i love dogs better than cats but that doesn't mean i don't care for them. i love animals. good thing his ex-gf didn't go to his house. that guy is weird and crazy! i hate people who are cruel to animals. poor cat...

It is really disgusting and that man is really a psycho, I guess... How could he did that to a cat? They are so cute to be 'treated' like that... When he has a chance next time to get angry at his exs, why not he tries to castrate himself and feels the pain? Anyway, he is a sicko. I don't think he will feel the pain though...

i was mad ,when i heard this news .he is inhumane like a pig.
