what did you see that has made you feel was amazingly beautiful and wonderful.
i remember looking at the sky one morning and saw the rays of the sun like shafts in the sky spread through the clouds and i said, my GOD.

There was one sunrise after I graduated high school. There was so much light and color, reds, yellow, orange, blue, lavender. All on a beautiful green hillside. I even made a pastel of it.

i was sitting on the seashore and watching the sun slowly descend...the view was very spectacular... the sea was dark blue and the rays of the sun were painted orange...

Apple,I'm lucky enough to possess a Private Pilot License and must agree with you that the sky is so beautiful that when you are up there with the sun's rays shining through you are close to God,There have been numerous times that I've wished that I could just lie down amongst the puffy clouds,If ever I was to be reincarnated I'd want to come back as an Eagle, But what is also amazing is to look down from only a few thousand feet from the ground and get a different perspective on how small this planet we share as home really is.

i thought of don juan of carlos casteneda. you are right about the sun. i guess it has something to do with light.
and i can relate to the feeling of lying down with the clouds, its almost like flying on your own and resting.

in 1968 i saw a blood red moonrise over Nam where i was 'chaplin' on a tour of duty.
all that saw it wept and wanted to go home.
this changed my views on religion and god for the better.
It also saw me discharged.

once in a red moon. it must have been so beautiful i can only imagine, though you are lucky you saw it. the rd moon must have brought out so many emotions in every one and those memories will be for ever with all of you. wish i was there too.
