My friend called me on Saturday morning and said her exhusband was making her move out of their apartment. SHe had been married to him in the past for about 4 years or so, and then divorced and after about 3 years got back together, and have been together for the last 7 years. Now she is 47 and he is about 50. He is retired and she works full time. During the day, he has made numerous friends, *older friends, some in their late 50s and 70s", anyhow he has not introduced her to them, and he keeps going out with them without her and even on the weekends. I know she works all day, then goes to her moms to visit her sick father and her younger son, who lives with the grandma, but when she gets home he is gone with these people. So Saturday he woke her up at 2 in the morning said she was snoring, and told her to get on the couch, and she said he even was pulling her out of the bed!! Jerk! Then in the morning, he woke up super mad and asked her to move out. Two neighbors that we spoke to said he had told them that she only visits him once in a while and that she is his exwife, but didn't acknowledge that they are living together for 7 years. One other woman told her, that he had told her they weren't together anymore and had been broken up for some time now, but that she came to see him once in a great while. Yet they all say he is only seen with the "crowd", the older people, and no other woman that they have seen him with. So, I help her pack up, and of course she is very very upset. I tell her he's nuts, and doesn't appreciate her, to move on. I too cannot imagine why he would not want to introduce her to these new friends. I know he was not liked by many people at his job and has no contact with his family, also her family doesn't care for him either. I don't know what to tell her to make her feel better.

Sounds like some kind of mid life crisis. It might pass but she should probably try to get on with her life. If they work things out she should probably live somewhere else unless he is willing to marry her again. Just living with him gives her no rights.

I was thinking the same thing about the midlife crisis. I'm not too sure of what that is but, then again who knows? I don't know about her getting back with him at all, he doesn't seem to appredciate her at all, and he really needs to. Thanks for your opinion!
