I was using windows media player 9 prior to upgrading it to windows media player 11. All sorts of vcds and cds could be played. But when I upgraded it to windows media player 11, I was quite surprised that only original cds and vcds can be played on it. I couldn't play anymore my pirated copies. What I did was to download the classic media player and it turned out to be more convenient because it is capable of playing any kind of media files.

I have just used this classic media player about two days ago and true enough, you can adjust the window size and even make it into full screen. You can also adjust the scenes being shown like do the fast forward and fast rewind/backward options.

VLC is pretty good since it can read just about anything. Winamp is great for skin customization but you still need certain codecs/addons etc. Classic media player isn't bad either, it's very lean and good if I just want basic vid/media files to play.

This player can play any kind of media , videos files.. It do not use much ram which makes it very fast . Even u can adjust the screen. Some people use this player becoz u can hide or unhide the titles. The interface is simple. This player comes with klite codec pack.. n of course its freeware.

Hi. We choose to use "windows media player 9" I find it more organised and easier to use...

i use media player classic which is bundled with the combined community codec pack (CCCP). it's straightforward, doesn't hog a lot of resources and it's easy to find support for codecs.
I used to us the free version of zoom version 2.90 but they eventually discontinued support for it so i eventually shifted to MPC/Media Player Classic.
MPC is also bundled with klite codec pack and other known codec packs floating on the net.
